“ Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

是以兄弟宜知罪之赦、由斯人宣於爾、

兄弟宜知賴此人名、傳赦罪之道與爾、

兄弟乎、爾當知賴此人可得罪赦、此道今傳於爾曹、

兄弟須知赦罪之道、端賴耶穌而傳。

“ My friends, here is what I want you to know. I announce to you that your sins can be forgiven because of what Jesus has done.

Let it be known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

“ Brothers, listen! We are here to proclaim that through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins.

Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers and sisters, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you.

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Him forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;

Be it known unto you therefore, brethren, that through this man is proclaimed unto you remission of sins:

Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,

Be it known unto you therefore, men[ and] brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:

Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through this one forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,

and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.

God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.

Peter replied,“ Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign Lord. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, people of Israel!

Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd:“ Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.

This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper.They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings— external regulations applying until the time of the new order.But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation.He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean.How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!

“ Therefore I want you to know that God’s salvation has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will listen!”

in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy.You will again have compassion on us; you will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.You will be faithful to Jacob, and show love to Abraham, as you pledged on oath to our ancestors in days long ago.

But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:“ Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.Then I said,‘ Here I am— it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’”First he said,“ Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”— though they were offered in accordance with the law.Then he said,“ Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second.And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God,and since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool.For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:“ This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.”Then he adds:“ Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”And where these have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary.

In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

“ Seventy‘ sevens’ are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.

No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another,‘ Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord.“ For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“ Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

“ On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.

For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”By calling this covenant“ new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.
