To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of things regarding the kingdom of God.

and they said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”

But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated to them.

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

Now when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were together due to fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and* said to them,“ Peace be to you.”And when He had said this, He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.So Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”And when He had said this, He breathed on them and* said to them,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained.”But Thomas, one of the twelve, who was called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.So the other disciples were saying to him,“ We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them,“ Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.”Eight days later His disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus* came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said,“ Peace be to you.”Then He* said to Thomas,“ Place your finger here, and see My hands; and take your hand and put it into My side; and do not continue in disbelief, but be a believer.”Thomas answered and said to Him,“ My Lord and my God!”Jesus* said to him,“ Because you have seen Me, have you now believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.”

Now while they were telling these things, Jesus Himself suddenly stood in their midst and* said to them,“ Peace be to you.”But they were startled and frightened, and thought that they were looking at a spirit.And He said to them,“ Why are you frightened, and why are doubts arising in your hearts?See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you plainly see that I have.”And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.While they still could not believe it because of their joy and astonishment, He said to them,“ Have you anything here to eat?”They served Him a piece of broiled fish;

and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.After that He appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep;then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles;

It is this Jesus whom God raised up, a fact to which we are all witnesses.

Now after that, He appeared in a different form to two of them while they were walking along on their way to the country.And they went away and reported it to the rest, but they did not believe them, either.Later He appeared to the eleven disciples themselves as they were reclining at the table; and He reprimanded them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen Him after He had risen from the dead.

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.

And we are witnesses of these things; and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey Him.”

After these things Jesus revealed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and He revealed Himself in this way:Simon Peter, Thomas who was called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.Simon Peter* said to them,“ I am going fishing.” They* said to him,“ We are also coming with you.” They went out and got into the boat; and that night they caught nothing.But when the day was now breaking, Jesus stood on the beach; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.So Jesus* said to them,“ Children, you do not have any fish to eat, do you?” They answered Him,“ No.”And He said to them,“ Cast the net on the right hand side of the boat, and you will find the fish.” So they cast it, and then they were not able to haul it in because of the great quantity of fish.Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved* said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment( for he was stripped for work), and threw himself into the sea.But the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away, dragging the net full of fish.So when they got out on the land, they* saw a charcoal fire already made and fish placed on it, and bread.Jesus* said to them,“ Bring some of the fish which you have now caught.”So Simon Peter went up and hauled the net to land, full of large fish, 153; and although there were so many, the net was not torn.Jesus* said to them,“ Come and have breakfast.” None of the disciples ventured to inquire of Him,“ Who are You?” knowing that it was the Lord.Jesus* came and* took the bread and* gave it to them, and the fish likewise.This was now the third time that Jesus revealed Himself to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.

beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us— one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”

and you are testifying as well, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

We are witnesses of all the things that He did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.

not to all the people, but to witnesses who had been chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.

but put to death the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses.
