He presented himself alive to them after his suffering by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

and said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,“ Peace be with you.”When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.Jesus said to them again,“ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came.So the other disciples told him,“ We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them,“ Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.”Eight days later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said,“ Peace be with you.”Then he said to Thomas,“ Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.”Thomas answered him,“ My Lord and my God!”Jesus said to him,“ Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

As they were talking about these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them,“ Peace to you!”But they were startled and frightened and thought they saw a spirit.And he said to them,“ Why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your hearts?See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.And while they still disbelieved for joy and were marveling, he said to them,“ Have you anything here to eat?”They gave him a piece of broiled fish,

and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep.Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.

This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses.

After these things he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country.And they went back and told the rest, but they did not believe them.Afterward he appeared to the eleven themselves as they were reclining at table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who saw him after he had risen.

how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard,while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way.Simon Peter, Thomas( called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.Simon Peter said to them,“ I am going fishing.” They said to him,“ We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.Jesus said to them,“ Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him,“ No.”He said to them,“ Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish.That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter,“ It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea.The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread.Jesus said to them,“ Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.”So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn.Jesus said to them,“ Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him,“ Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord.Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish.This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us— one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection.”

And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree,

not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses.
