which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening.

And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.

Then He said,“ I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.”

For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled,“ Not one of His bones shall be broken.”And again another Scripture says,“ They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down.And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying,“ Men and brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.”

But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.

Jesus answered and said to them,“ You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.

But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?”In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes,“ Have you come out, as against a robber, with swords and clubs to take Me? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple, and you did not seize Me.But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.
