因为自古以来，在各城里都有人宣讲摩西的书，每逢安息日，在各会堂里都有人诵读。”

当时来了一位会堂的主管，名叫叶鲁。他一看见耶稣，就俯伏在他脚前，

弟兄们，我劝你们耐心接受我这劝勉的话，因为我只是简略地写给你们。

耶稣来到拿撒勒自己长大的地方，照着习惯在安息日进入会堂，站起来要读经。有人把以赛亚先知的书递给他，他展开书卷找到一处，上面写着：“主的灵在我身上，因为他膏我去传福音给贫穷的人，差遣我去宣告被掳的得释放，瞎眼的得看见，受压制的得自由，

住在耶路撒冷的人和他们的官长，因为不认识基督，也不明白每逢安息日所读的先知的话，就把他定了罪，正好应验了先知的话。

会堂主管基利司布和他全家都信了主，许多哥林多人也听了道，信了主，而且受了洗。

众人揪住会堂主管苏提尼，在审判台前打他。这些事迦流一概不理。

他们都被圣灵充满，就照着圣灵所赐给他们的口才，用别种语言说出话来。

律法和先知到约翰就结束了。从此，神的国的福音就传开了，人人都要努力进去。

“各位父老弟兄，请听听我现在对你们的申辩。”

“弟兄们，关于祖先大卫的事，我不妨坦白告诉你们，他死了，葬了，直到今日他的坟墓还在我们这里。

“弟兄们，经上的话，就是圣灵藉着大卫的口，预言那领人捉拿耶稣的犹大的事，是一定会应验的。

但那讲道的是对人讲说，使他们得着造就、安慰和劝勉。

他们听了以后，觉得扎心，就对彼得和其余的使徒说：“弟兄们，我们应当作什么呢？”

劝慰的，就应当照着恩赐劝慰；把财物分给人的要真诚；领导的要殷勤；行善的要乐意。

经过了很多的辩论，彼得站起来对他们说：“弟兄们，你们知道，前些时候神在你们中间拣选了我，使外族人从我的口中听见福音的道，而且信了。

他走遍那一带地方，用许多话劝勉众人，然后来到希腊。

司提反说：“各位父老兄弟请听！我们的祖宗亚伯拉罕，在美索不达米亚，还没有住在哈兰的时候，荣耀的神向他显现，
