主今爾譴、暫且使爾失明、不見天日！』其目立盲、暗中摸索、乞為牽引。

Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

因為你的手晝夜重重壓着我；我的精液起了惡變化、如在夏天的炎熱中。（細拉）

你就看吧，永恆主的手必加在你田間的牲畜身上，加在馬、驢、駱駝、牛羣、羊羣身上，帶來極重的瘟疫。

於是打發人去把非利士人的眾霸主聚集了來，說：『把以色列上帝的櫃送走吧，使它回原處去，免得害死了我們和我們的眾民』；這是因為上帝的手加在那裏極重了，致人於死的驚慌紛亂佈滿了全城。

我的朋友啊，恩待我吧，恩待我！因為上帝的手擊打我了。

永恆主的手重重地擊打亞實突人，使他們淒涼，用鼠疫疱擊打他們，打亞實突和它的四境。亞實突人見這光景，就說：『以色列上帝的櫃不可留在我們中間，因為他的手重重地擊打我們和我們的神大袞。』

他們又擊打了房門口的人，使他們無論大小都眼目昏眩，以致找到累死也找不着房門。

求你使我免受你的擊打；因為你手的責打、我便消沒。你因人的罪愆用責罰管教他，使他所喜愛的消失，如被蛀蟲所咬；一切世人真是虛幻啊！（細拉）

那麼便怎麼樣呢？以色列所切求的、他們竟然沒有得着；惟獨蒙揀選的人得着了。其餘的人就成了頑梗不化的；正如經上所記的：『上帝給了他們麻木的靈，不能看的眼，不能聽的耳，直到今天這日子。』大衛也說：『願他們的筵席對他們成了網羅，成了機檻，成了絆跌物，又成了報應；願他們的眼昏矇、不能看見；願你使他們的脊背總是彎屈卑服。』

因為永恆主將沉睡之靈傾注於你們；使你們的眼緊合着，使你們的頭蒙蓋着！

亞拿尼亞就去，進了那家，給掃羅按手，說：『掃羅弟兄，在你來的路上向你顯現的主、就是耶穌、差遣我來，使你能看見，又蒙聖靈充滿。』

耶穌說：『為了審判、我才到這世界上來，使看不見的能看見，而能看見的反而成了瞎眼！』

轉運到了以後，永恆主的手攻擊那城，那城非常紛亂驚慌；又擊打那城的人、無論大小都暴發了鼠疫疱。

亞蘭王和以色列人交戰；他和他的臣僕商議說：『我要在某處某處紮營。』

弟兄們，我不願意你們不明白這奧祕，免得你們自以為精明。這奧祕就是：以色列有幾分的頑梗，直等到外國人的滿數都進了來，

因為是你的箭射入我身，你的手壓住着我。

掃羅從地上爬起來，睜開眼睛，卻看不見甚麼。有人拉他的手帶着他，帶進大馬色。他三天不能看見，沒有喫，也沒有喝。

掉在永活的上帝手裏、真是可怕呀！

這些人呢、是無水的泉源，是暴風催迫的霧氣，有黑暗的幽冥給他們保留着。
