聖手所指。暮暮朝朝。夏日相逼。我體枯焦。

豈敢怨顛沛。固知主所授。伏祈息聖怒。勿再加杖毆。

然則如何？曰：義塞之所求、未之得也、其中蒙恩者得之、而其餘則已成麻木不仁之徒矣。經云：『天主已使其冥頑不靈、有目而不能見、有耳而不能聞、以迄於今；』此之謂也。大維亦曰：『願其筵席之化作羅穽兮、自食其所作之孽。願其目之昏矇而不見兮、背常曲而不直。』

亞拿尼亞遂往、入其室、手按之曰：『兄弟掃羅、途中顯爾前者、主耶穌也，主遣吾至、使爾復明而受聖神。』

耶穌曰：『予臨斯世、實為黜陟、欲使不見者得見、而自以為明者轉成瞽盲。』

兄弟乎、吾深恐爾等之自以為智、故不欲爾等之昧於此中微妙也。蓋部分義塞人之所以成為冥頑不靈者、乃有待乎異邦人之圓滿歸化。

求主勿怒譴。求主息雷霆。

掃羅起、啟目不能視、人攜其手、引入大馬士革。失明三日、飲食俱廢。

遭受永生天主之譴怒、可怖也已！

斯輩乃無水之泉源、又如浮雲隨風飄蕩、終歸無明而已矣。
