今主手擊爾、爾必瞽、暫不見日、其目立矇而暗、遍求人導之行、

主今爾譴、暫且使爾失明、不見天日！』其目立盲、暗中摸索、乞為牽引。

Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind for a time, not even able to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

因為你的手晝夜重壓在我身上，我的精力耗盡，好像盛暑的乾旱。（細拉）

看哪，耶和華的手必用嚴重的瘟疫加在你田間的牲畜身上，加在馬、驢、駱駝、牛群、羊群身上。

於是他們派人去召集非利士人各城的首領前來，對他們說：“請把以色列神的約櫃送回原處，免得它殺害我們和我們的人民。”死亡的恐慌籠罩全城，因為神的手重重地壓在那裡。

我的朋友啊！求你們憐憫我，憐憫我吧！因為神的手擊打了我。

耶和華的手重重地壓在亞實突人身上，敗壞他們，用痔瘡擊打亞實突和亞實突四境的人。亞實突人看見這種情形，就說：“以色列神的約櫃不可再留在我們這裡，因為他的手重重地加在我們和我們的神大袞身上。”

然後擊打那些門外的人，使他們無論老少，都眼目昏眩，以致找不到門口。

求你除掉你降在我身上的災禍；因你手的責打，我就消滅。你因人的罪孽，藉著責罰管教他們，叫他們所寶貴的消失，像被蟲蛀蝕；世人都不過是一口氣。（細拉）

那又怎麼樣呢？以色列人懇切尋找的，他們沒有得到，蒙揀選的人倒得著了。其餘的人都成了頑固的，正如經上所記：“神給了他們麻木的靈，有眼睛卻看不見，有耳朵卻聽不到，直到今日。”大衛也說：“願他們的筵席成為他們的網羅、陷阱、絆腳石和報應；願他們的眼睛昏暗，不能看見；願他們的背脊常常彎曲。”

因為耶和華把沉睡的靈，傾倒在你們身上；他緊閉你們的眼，就是先知；蒙蓋你們的頭，就是先見。

亞拿尼亞就去了，進了那家，為掃羅按手，說：“掃羅弟兄，在你來的路上向你顯現的耶穌，就是主，差我來使你可以看見，又被聖靈充滿。”

耶穌說：“我到這世上來是為了審判，使那看不見的能夠看見，能看見的反而成了瞎眼的。”

運到那裡以後，耶和華的手攻擊那城，引起很大的恐慌。他擊打全城的人，不分老幼，使痔瘡在他們中間蔓延。

亞蘭王與以色列人打仗，他和他的臣僕商議，說：“我要在某處某處埋伏。”

弟兄們，我不願意你們對這奧祕一無所知，免得你們自以為聰明。這奧祕就是以色列人當中有一部分是硬心的，直到外族人的全數滿了；

因為你的箭射入我身，你的手壓住我。

掃羅從地上爬起來，睜開眼睛，卻甚麼也看不見。他們牽著他的手，領他進大馬士革。他三天都不能看見甚麼，不吃也不喝。

落在永活的神手裡，真是可怕的。

這些人是無水的泉源，是暴風催逼的霧氣，有漆黑的幽暗為他們存留。
