Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying,“ Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.

倏有主之使者旁立、光耀獄中、天使撫彼得脅、醒之曰、速起、鐵索即脫於其手、

忽有主之天神、立於其側、光耀滿室；拍伯鐸祿之脅、醒之曰：『速起！』鏈脫其手。

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up.“ Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared. A light shone in the prison cell. The angel struck Peter on his side. Peter woke up.“ Quick!” the angel said.“ Get up!” The chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying,“ Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands.

Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said,“ Quick! Get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists.

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. Striking Peter on the side, he woke him up and said,“ Quick, get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists.

And behold, an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near Peter, and a light shone in the cell; and he struck Peter’s side and woke him, saying,“ Get up quickly.” And his chains fell off his hands.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shined in the cell: and he smote Peter on the side, and awoke him, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. Striking Peter on the side, he woke him up and said,“ Quick, get up!” Then the chains fell off his wrists.

And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon[ him], and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from[ his] hands.

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the prison cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up, saying,“ Get up quickly!” And the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up, saying,“ Stand up quickly!” His chains fell off his hands.

Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed.

But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,

They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons.Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the Lord tested him.The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free.

Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.

Attend to my cry, For I am brought very low; Deliver me from my persecutors, For they are stronger than I.Bring my soul out of prison, That I may praise Your name; The righteous shall surround me, For You shall deal bountifully with me.”

The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces.

O Lord, truly I am Your servant; I am Your servant, the son of Your maidservant; You have loosed my bonds.

Therefore He says:“ Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.”

“ This shall be a sign to you: You shall eat this year such as grows of itself, And the second year what springs from the same; Also in the third year sow and reap, Plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.

And the angel of the Lord came back the second time, and touched him, and said,“ Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.”

When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying,“ Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.”And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife’s hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. His voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shone with His glory.

The wicked watches the righteous, And seeks to slay him.The Lord will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged.

“ For You are my lamp, O Lord; The Lord shall enlighten my darkness.

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

I will bear the indignation of the Lord, Because I have sinned against Him, Until He pleads my case And executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.

whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it.

As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors,“ Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king,“ True, O king.”“ Look!” he answered,“ I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”

Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him,“ Arise and eat.”

My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

For there stood by me this night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve,saying,‘ Do not be afraid, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar; and indeed God has granted you all those who sail with you.’

And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison.

The sun and moon stood still in their habitation; At the light of Your arrows they went, At the shining of Your glittering spear.

Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory.

His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden.

So Cornelius said,“ Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.

Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.

And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.
