Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up.“ Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter’s wrists.

and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison- house were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened; and every one’s bands were loosed.

But an angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them out, and said,

His feet they hurt with fetters: He was laid in chains of iron,Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of Jehovah tried him.The king sent and loosed him; Even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.

Who executeth justice for the oppressed; Who giveth food to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

Attend unto my cry; For I am brought very low: Deliver me from my persecutors; For they are stronger than I.Bring my soul out of prison, That I may give thanks unto thy name: The righteous shall compass me about; For thou wilt deal bountifully with me.

The angel of Jehovah encampeth round about them that fear him, And delivereth them.

He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bonds in sunder.

O Jehovah, truly I am thy servant: I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bonds.

Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.

And this shall be the sign unto thee: ye shall eat this year that which groweth of itself, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

And the angel of Jehovah came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for thee.

And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory.

The wicked watcheth the righteous, And seeketh to slay him.Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, Nor condemn him when he is judged.

For thou art my lamp, O Jehovah; And Jehovah will lighten my darkness.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of Jehovah is risen upon thee.

I will bear the indignation of Jehovah, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

And when Herod was about to bring him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and guards before the door kept the prison.

The sun and moon stood still in their habitation, At the light of thine arrows as they went, At the shining of thy glittering spear.

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?

After these things I saw another angel coming down out of heaven, having great authority; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

And his brightness was as the light; He had rays coming forth from his hand; And there was the hiding of his power.

And Cornelius said, Four days ago, until this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house; and behold, a man stood before me in bright apparel,
