那時人要把你們送去受苦，也要殺害你們，你們要因我的名被萬民恨惡。

打了很多棍，就把他們放在監牢裡，吩咐獄吏嚴密看守。獄吏領了命令，就把他們押入內監，兩腳拴了木狗。

彼得說：“主啊！我已經準備好要跟你一同下監，一同死。”

王旨交給眾驛使傳到王的各省，吩咐要在一日之內，在十二月，就是亞達月十三日，把所有的猶大人，無論老少婦孺，都全部毀滅、殺絕、除盡，並且搶奪他們的財產。

不過他們說：“不可在節期下手，免得引起民眾暴動。”

於是下手拿住使徒，把他們押在公共拘留所裡。

行了你手和你旨意所預定要成就的一切。
