Herod saw that the death of James pleased some Jews. So he arrested Peter also. This happened during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread.

When Herod saw how much this pleased the Jewish people, he also arrested Peter.( This took place during the Passover celebration.)

“ Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread; for seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt.“ No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

When two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, but because Felix wanted to grant a favor to the Jews, he left Paul in prison.

Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, said to Paul,“ Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem and stand trial before me there on these charges?”

On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.

Very truly I tell you, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”

Jesus answered,“ You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked,“ Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?”

Then Moses said to the people,“ Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand. Eat nothing containing yeast.Today, in the month of Aviv, you are leaving.When the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Hivites and Jebusites— the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey— you are to observe this ceremony in this month:For seven days eat bread made without yeast and on the seventh day hold a festival to the Lord.Eat unleavened bread during those seven days; nothing with yeast in it is to be seen among you, nor shall any yeast be seen anywhere within your borders.

But we sailed from Philippi after the Festival of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days.

for they loved human praise more than praise from God.

“ This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord— a lasting ordinance.For seven days you are to eat bread made without yeast. And anyone, whether foreigner or native- born, who eats anything with yeast in it must be cut off from the community of Israel.Eat nothing made with yeast. Wherever you live, you must eat unleavened bread.”

Surely your wrath against mankind brings you praise, and the survivors of your wrath are restrained.

On the fifteenth day of that month the Lord’s Festival of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast.On the first day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.For seven days present a food offering to the Lord. And on the seventh day hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work.’”The Lord said to Moses,“ Speak to the Israelites and say to them:‘ When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest.He is to wave the sheaf before the Lord so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath.On the day you wave the sheaf, you must sacrifice as a burnt offering to the Lord a lamb a year old without defect,together with its grain offering of two- tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil— a food offering presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma— and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine.You must not eat any bread, or roasted or new grain, until the very day you bring this offering to your God. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd:“ Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.

Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch— as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
