After Herod had a thorough search made for him and did not find him, he cross- examined the guards and ordered that they be executed. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

So Herod had them look everywhere for Peter. But they didn’t find him. Then Herod questioned the guards closely. He ordered that they be put to death. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

And after Herod searched for him and did not find him, he examined the sentries and ordered that they should be put to death. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and spent time there.

末底改仍回到御門那裡；哈曼卻急急忙忙回了家，帶著悲哀的心蒙著頭。

捉到了，就把他關在監裡，交給四班士兵看守，每班四個人，打算過了逾越節，把他提出來交給民眾。

於是祭司長想把拉撒路也殺掉，因為有許多猶太人為了拉撒路的緣故，離開他們，信了耶穌。

後來有人在亞鎖都遇見腓利。他走遍各城，傳講福音，直到該撒利亞。

他們走了以後，主的使者在夢中向約瑟顯現，說：“起來，帶著孩子和他母親逃到埃及去，留在那裡，直到我再指示你，因為希律要尋找這孩子，把他殺掉。”

王所問的事很難答，除了那不和世人同住的神明以外，沒有人能在王面前把這事說出來。”因此，王大發烈怒，下令殺絕巴比倫所有的智慧人。於是王的御旨發出，要把智慧人都殺死；人就尋找但以理和他的同伴，要殺死他們。

士兵想把囚犯都殺掉，免得有人游泳逃脫。

惡人窺伺義人，想要殺死他。耶和華必不把他撇棄在惡人的手中，在審判的時候，也不定他的罪。

更吩咐王子耶拉篾、亞次列的兒子西萊雅和亞伯疊的兒子示利米雅，去捉拿文士巴錄和耶利米先知；但耶和華把他們隱藏起來。

於是以色列王悶悶不樂回到撒瑪利亞，自己的王宮裡去了。

她們去的時候，有些衛兵進了城，把一切所發生的事向祭司長報告。祭司長就和長老聚集在一起商量，然後拿許多錢給士兵，說：“你們要這樣說：‘他的門徒晚上來了，趁我們睡著的時候，把他偷走了。’如果總督知道了這件事，我們會說服他，不會牽連你們。”士兵收了錢，就照著祭司長和長老的指使去作。這種說法直到今日還流傳在猶太人當中。

希律見自己被星象家愚弄了，就大怒，於是照著他從星象家所問得的日子，下令把伯利恆和附近地方，兩歲及以下的小孩全都殺死。

第二天我們離開那裡，來到該撒利亞，到了傳福音的腓利家裡，與他住在一起。他是那七位執事中的一位。

過了一些日子，亞基帕王和百尼基到該撒利亞來，問候非斯都。

大衛住在曠野的山寨裡，又住在西弗曠野的山裡。掃羅天天尋索大衛，神卻不把大衛交在他手裡。

希律要提他出來的前一夜，彼得被兩條鎖鍊鎖住，睡在兩個士兵中間，還有衛兵守在門前。
