After Herod had a thorough search made for him and did not find him, he cross- examined the guards and ordered that they be executed. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

So Herod had them look everywhere for Peter. But they didn’t find him. Then Herod questioned the guards closely. He ordered that they be put to death. Then Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and stayed there.

And after Herod searched for him and did not find him, he examined the sentries and ordered that they should be put to death. Then he went down from Judea to Caesarea and spent time there.

狱卒惊醒后，看见牢门尽开，以为囚犯已经逃走了，就想拔刀自杀。

之后，末底改回到宫门那里，哈曼却悲伤地蒙着头匆匆回家去了。

把他关在监里，由四班卫兵，每班四人轮流看守，想等逾越节过后当众惩办他。

于是，祭司长计划连拉撒路也杀掉，因为有许多犹太人因为拉撒路的缘故离开他们，去信了耶稣。

后来，腓利出现在亚锁都。他走遍那里，在各城各乡传扬福音，直到凯撒利亚。

他们离开之后，主的天使在梦中向约瑟显现，说：“起来，带着小孩子和祂母亲逃往埃及，住在那里等候我的通知，因为希律要寻找这孩子，杀害祂。”

王问的事太难，除了不在人间居住的神明外，无人能为王解答。”王大怒，下令处死巴比伦所有的智者。于是，处死智者的谕旨发出，但以理和他的同伴都在被杀之列。

士兵们想把囚犯全杀掉，怕有人乘机游泳逃走。

恶人窥探义人，伺机谋害。但耶和华不会让恶人得逞，也不会让义人在审判时被定罪。

还命令自己的儿子耶拉篾、亚斯列的儿子西莱雅和亚伯德的儿子示利米雅去拘捕书记巴录和耶利米先知。但耶和华把他们藏了起来。

以色列王闷闷不乐地回撒玛利亚的王宫去了。

她们还在赶路的时候，有些守墓的卫兵已经进城把整件事告诉祭司长。祭司长和长老聚集商议，决定用重金买通守墓的卫兵，又吩咐他们：“你们就说，‘半夜里我们熟睡的时候，耶稣的门徒把祂的尸体偷走了。’如果这件事传到总督那里，我们一定会替你们出面，保你们无事。”守卫收下钱，便依照吩咐去做。于是，这说法在犹太人中一直流传到今天。

希律见自己被智者愚弄，大为恼怒，便照着智者所说的时间推算，下令把伯利恒附近两岁以下的男孩杀光。

第二天我们离开那里，来到凯撒利亚，住在传道人腓利家里。他是当初选出的七位执事之一。

过了几天，亚基帕王和百妮姬一起到凯撒利亚问候非斯都。

大卫住在旷野的堡垒或西弗旷野的山区。扫罗天天搜捕大卫，但上帝没有把大卫交在他的手中。

在被希律提审前一夜，彼得被两条铁链锁着睡在两个卫兵中间，门外警卫森严。
