千夫長准了。保羅就站在臺階上，向百姓做了個手勢，要他們靜下來，保羅就用希伯來話對他們說：

猶太人把亞歷山大推出去，人羣中有人慫恿他，他就做手勢，要向民眾申訴。

他們講完了，雅各回答說：「諸位弟兄，請聽我說。

保羅就站起來，做個手勢，說：「諸位以色列人和一切敬畏神的人，請聽。

那些被認為是教會柱石的雅各、磯法、約翰知道神所賜給我的恩典，就跟我和巴拿巴握右手以示合作，同意我們往外邦人那裏去，他們往受割禮的人那裏去。

從雅各那裏來的人未到以前，他和外邦人一同吃飯，及至他們來到，他因怕奉割禮的人就退出，跟外邦人疏遠了。

第二天，保羅同我們去見雅各；所有的長老也都在場。

至於別的使徒，除了主的兄弟雅各，我都沒有見過。

以後他顯給雅各看，再顯給眾使徒看，

這些事以後，耶穌周遊加利利，不願在猶太往來，因為猶太人想要殺他。

到他出來，卻不能和他們說話，他們就知道他在聖所裏見了異象；他直向他們打手勢，因為他成了啞巴。

二人出了監牢，往呂底亞家裏去，見了弟兄們，勸慰他們一番，就離開了。

敬畏神的人哪，你們都來聽！我要述說他為我所做的事。

我要在他的全體百姓面前向耶和華還我所許的願。在耶和華眼中，聖民之死極為寶貴。

有人在這城迫害你們，就逃到另一城去。我實在告訴你們，以色列的城鎮，你們還沒有走遍，人子就要來臨。

要垂聽被囚之人的嘆息，要釋放將死的人，使人在錫安傳揚耶和華的名，在耶路撒冷傳揚讚美他的話，

所以，耶穌不再公開在猶太人中走動，卻離開那裏，往靠近曠野的鄉間去，到了一座城，名叫以法蓮，就在那裏和門徒住下來。

西門‧彼得就對這個人示意，要問耶穌是指着誰說的。

於是他們拿石頭要打他，耶穌卻躲開，走出了聖殿。

神和主耶穌基督的僕人雅各問候散居在各處的十二個支派的人。

耶穌又往約旦河的東邊去，到了約翰起初施洗的地方，就住在那裏。

他為受欺壓的伸冤，賜食物給飢餓的人。耶和華釋放被囚的，

但願人因耶和華的慈愛和他向人所做的奇事都稱謝他。願他們以感謝為祭獻給他，歡呼述說他的作為！
