千夫長准許了，保羅就站在臺階兒上，向民眾擺手。大家都靜默無聲了，保羅便用希伯來土話陳述說：

有人把亞力山大從羣眾中蜂擁出來，猶太人又推他往前；亞力山大就擺手，想要對民眾分訴。

大家都默不出聲了，然後雅各就應時說：『同人弟兄們，請聽我！

保羅就站起來，擺着手說：『以色列人和敬畏上帝的人哪，請聽！

又知道了主所賜給我的恩，那些有名望的柱石、雅各、磯法、約翰、就伸出團契的右手來跟我和巴拿巴握手，叫我們到外國人中間去，而他們卻到受割禮的人那裏去。

因為有幾個從雅各那裏來的人未到之先，他素常和外國人一同喫飯；他們一來到，他因怕屬割禮的人，就退開而自己分別。

翌日，保羅同我們進去見雅各；眾長老也都在那裏。

至於別的使徒呢、除了主的兄弟雅各、我都沒有見。

後來現給雅各看見；然後給眾使徒。

這些事以後，耶穌就在加利利往來了；他不願意在猶太往來，因為猶太人想法子要殺他。

到他出來、不能和他們說話了、他們才理會他在殿堂裏見了顯象；他呢、也直向他們作手勢，始終還是啞巴！

二人從監裏出來，進呂底亞家裏；見了弟兄，就鼓勵他們；然後出行。

敬畏上帝的人哪，你們都來聽；我要敘說他為我所行的事。

我要在他眾民面前向永恆主還我所許的願。在永恆主看，他堅貞之民的死、極為寶貴。

人在這城裏逼迫你們，你們要逃到別的城。我實在告訴你們，以色列的城市、你們還沒走完，人子就到了。

來聽被擄之人的唉哼，來釋放瀕於死亡的人；使人在錫安宣揚永恆主的名，在耶路撒冷敘說他可頌可讚的事，

因此耶穌不再公開在猶太人中間往來，卻離開那裏、往靠近曠野的地區去，到了一座城叫以法蓮，就在那裏同門徒住下。

於是西門彼得點頭示意對這個人說：『請說他是指着誰說的。』

於是他們拿起石頭來、要打他；耶穌卻逕自隱藏着，出殿去了。

上帝和主耶穌基督的僕人雅各、給散僑中的十二支派請安。

耶穌又往約但河外，到了約翰先前施洗的地方，住在那裏。

他為受欺壓的伸冤；他賜食物給饑餓的人。永恆主解開了被囚者的捆綁；

但願人因永恆主的堅愛而稱謝他；因他向人類所行的奇事而頌讚他。願他們獻感謝之祭，歡唱敘說他的作為。
