千夫长准许了，保罗就站在台阶上，向民众挥一下手，大家都寂静无声，保罗就用希伯来语呼吁，说：

犹太人把亚历山大推到前面的时候，人群中有些人要他说话。亚历山大就挥一下手，想要对民众申辩。

他们讲完以后，雅各就回应说：“各位弟兄，请听我说。

保罗就站起来，挥一下手，说：“各位以色列人和敬畏神的人，请听！

公认是柱石的雅各、矶法和约翰，既然明白了神所赐给我的恩典，就向巴拿巴和我伸出右手行契合之礼，要我们往外邦人那里去，而他们往受割礼的人那里去；

原来，从雅各那里来的一些人到达之前，矶法与外邦人一起吃饭；可是那些人一到，他因为怕那些割礼派的人，就退缩，与外邦人分开了。

第二天，保罗与我们一起去探望雅各，所有的长老也都来了。

至于其他的使徒，除了主的弟弟雅各，我都没有见过。

后来他向雅各显现，再向所有的使徒显现，

这些事以后，耶稣走遍加利利。原来他不愿意在犹太地区往来，因为那些犹太人想要杀害他。

当他出来不能和他们说话的时候，他们才了解他在圣所里看到了异象。撒迦利亚一直向他们打手势，却始终不能说话。

保罗和赛拉斯出了监狱，就到莉迪娅家里去，见了弟兄们，鼓励他们一番，然后离开了。

所有敬畏神的人哪，你们都当来听！我要讲述他为我所做的事。

我要在耶和华所有的子民面前，向他还我所许的愿。在耶和华的眼中，他忠信者的死是宝贵的。

他们在这城逼迫你们，你们就逃到别的城去。我确实地告诉你们：在你们走遍以色列的城镇之前，人子必定来临。

为要垂听被囚者的呻吟，释放那些注定要死的人；好在锡安传扬耶和华的名，在耶路撒冷传扬对他的赞美。

因此，耶稣不再公开地在犹太人当中行事，而是离开那里，到旷野附近的地方，进了一个叫以法莲的城，在那里与门徒们住下了。

西门彼得就向他点头示意，要他问耶稣所讲的人到底是谁。

他们因此拿起石头要砸他。耶稣却被隐藏，离开了圣殿。

神和主耶稣基督的奴仆雅各，问候散居在各地的十二个支派。

耶稣又前往约旦河对岸，到约翰当初施洗的地方，住在那里。

他为那些受欺压的人伸冤，为那些饥饿的人赐下粮食；耶和华使被囚的人得解放；

愿他们因耶和华的慈爱，以及他向世人显明的奇妙作为称谢他！愿他们献上感谢的祭物，在欢呼中讲述他所做的！
