千夫長准許了他，保羅就站在臺階上，向民眾作了一個手勢。大家安靜下來了，保羅就用希伯來語講話，說：

猶太人把亞歷山大推到前面，群眾中有人把這事的因由告訴他。亞歷山大作了一個手勢，要向民眾申辯。

他們講完了，雅各說：“弟兄們，請聽我說！

保羅就站起來，作了一個手勢，說：“以色列人和敬畏神的人，請聽！

又知道我蒙了神的恩，那幾位被譽為柱石的雅各、磯法和約翰，就向我和巴拿巴伸出右手互相許諾，我們要到外族人那裡去傳福音，他們要到受割禮的人那裡去傳福音；

從雅各那裡來的人還沒有到以前，他和外族人一同吃飯；但他們來到了，他因為怕那些守割禮的人，就從外族人中退出來，和他們分開。

第二天，保羅和我們一同去見雅各，長老們也都在座。

至於其餘的使徒，除了主的弟弟雅各以外，我都沒有見過。

以後也向雅各顯現，再後又向眾使徒顯現，

這事以後，耶穌周遊加利利，不願在猶太往來，因為猶太人想要殺他。

等到他出來，卻不能講話，竟成了啞巴，不斷地向他們打手式，他們就知道他在聖殿裡見了異象。

兩人出了監，就到呂底亞的家裡去，見了弟兄們，勸勉他們一番，就離開了。

所有敬畏神的人哪！你們都要來聽，我要述說他為我所行的事。

我要在耶和華的眾民面前，向他還我所許的願。在耶和華的眼中看來，聖民的死極為寶貴。

如果有人在這城迫害你們，就逃到別的城去。我實在告訴你們，你們還沒有走遍以色列的各城，人子就來到了。

為要垂聽被囚的人的歎息，解救定了死罪的人；使人在錫安傳揚耶和華的名，在耶路撒冷傳揚讚美他的話。

因此，耶穌不再在猶太人中間公開活動，卻離開那裡，到曠野附近的地方去；到了一座名叫以法蓮的城，就和門徒住在那裡。

西門．彼得向他示意，叫他問耶穌是指著誰說的。

於是他們拿起石頭要打他。耶穌卻躲起來，從殿裡出去了。

神和主耶穌基督的僕人雅各，向散居各地的十二支派問安。

耶穌又往約旦河東去，到約翰從前施洗的地方，住在那裡。

他為受欺壓的人伸冤，賜食物給飢餓的人，耶和華使被囚的得自由。

願人因耶和華的慈愛，因他向世人所行的奇事稱謝他。願他們以感謝為祭獻給他，歡欣地述說他的作為。
