伯鐸祿憬悟曰：『予今乃真知主遣天神援予於希祿之手、而脫我於猶太人之所冀也。』

Then Peter came to himself and said,“ Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”

Then Peter realized what had happened. He said,“ Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent his angel. He set me free from Herod’s power. He saved me from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen.”

Peter finally came to his senses.“ It’s really true!” he said.“ The Lord has sent his angel and saved me from Herod and from what the Jewish leaders had planned to do to me!”

When Peter came to himself, he said,“ Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s grasp and from all that the Jewish people expected.”

When Peter came to himself, he said,“ Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.”

And when Peter had come to himself, he said,“ Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”

And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a truth, that the Lord hath sent forth his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

Then Peter came to himself and said,“ Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel and rescued me from Herod’s grasp and from all that the Jewish people expected.”

And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and[ from] all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

When Peter came to himself, he said,“ Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from everything the Jewish people were expecting to happen.”

When Peter had come to himself, he said,“ Now I truly know that the Lord has sent out his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from everything the Jewish people were expecting.”

“ But when he came to himself, he said,‘ How many of my father’s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger!

My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”

Nebuchadnezzar answered and said,“ Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants, who trusted in him, and set aside the king’s command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God.

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

For he stands at the right hand of the needy one, to save him from those who condemn his soul to death.

He answered and said,“ But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying,“ Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands.

The Lord redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.

And David spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.

O you who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the lives of his saints; he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

The Lord said to Abraham,“ Why did Sarah laugh and say,‘ Shall I indeed bear a child, now that I am old?’

When it was day, the Jews made a plot and bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.There were more than forty who made this conspiracy.They went to the chief priests and elders and said,“ We have strictly bound ourselves by an oath to taste no food till we have killed Paul.Now therefore you, along with the council, give notice to the tribune to bring him down to you, as though you were going to determine his case more exactly. And we are ready to kill him before he comes near.”Now the son of Paul’s sister heard of their ambush, so he went and entered the barracks and told Paul.Paul called one of the centurions and said,“ Take this young man to the tribune, for he has something to tell him.”So he took him and brought him to the tribune and said,“ Paul the prisoner called me and asked me to bring this young man to you, as he has something to say to you.”The tribune took him by the hand, and going aside asked him privately,“ What is it that you have to tell me?”And he said,“ The Jews have agreed to ask you to bring Paul down to the council tomorrow, as though they were going to inquire somewhat more closely about him.But do not be persuaded by them, for more than forty of their men are lying in ambush for him, who have bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink till they have killed him. And now they are ready, waiting for your consent.”So the tribune dismissed the young man, charging him,“ Tell no one that you have informed me of these things.”Then he called two of the centurions and said,“ Get ready two hundred soldiers, with seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen to go as far as Caesarea at the third hour of the night.Also provide mounts for Paul to ride and bring him safely to Felix the governor.”And he wrote a letter to this effect:“ Claudius Lysias, to his Excellency the governor Felix, greetings.This man was seized by the Jews and was about to be killed by them when I came upon them with the soldiers and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman citizen.And desiring to know the charge for which they were accusing him, I brought him down to their council.I found that he was being accused about questions of their law, but charged with nothing deserving death or imprisonment.And when it was disclosed to me that there would be a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, ordering his accusers also to state before you what they have against him.”

if the men of my tent have not said,‘ Who is there that has not been filled with his meat?’

So Abimelech called Isaac and said,“ Behold, she is your wife. How then could you say,‘ She is my sister’?” Isaac said to him,“ Because I thought,‘ Lest I die because of her.’”

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

When two years had elapsed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus. And desiring to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.

For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers, of the affliction we experienced in Asia. For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself.Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.He delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will deliver us again.

asking as a favor against Paul that he summon him to Jerusalem— because they were planning an ambush to kill him on the way.Festus replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea and that he himself intended to go there shortly.“ So,” said he,“ let the men of authority among you go down with me, and if there is anything wrong about the man, let them bring charges against him.”

But Festus, wishing to do the Jews a favor, said to Paul,“ Do you wish to go up to Jerusalem and there be tried on these charges before me?”
