The believers decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea. All of them helped as much as they could.

So the disciples determined, everyone according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

So the believers in Antioch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could.

Each of the disciples, according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brothers and sisters who lived in Judea.

And to the extent that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,“ Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”So we say with confidence,“ The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

and said:“ As far as possible, we have bought back our fellow Jews who were sold to the Gentiles. Now you are selling your own people, only for them to be sold back to us!” They kept quiet, because they could find nothing to say.

And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.“ Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I had been eager to do all along.

There is no need for me to write to you about this service to the Lord’s people.For I know your eagerness to help, and I have been boasting about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year you in Achaia were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action.

The apostles and the believers throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem in the service of the Lord’s people there.For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the Lord’s people in Jerusalem.They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews’ spiritual blessings, they owe it to the Jews to share with them their material blessings.

Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return.Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land.

Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do.On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

All the believers were together and had everything in common.They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales

It does not dishonor others, it is not self- seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
