The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

The believers decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea. All of them helped as much as they could.

So the disciples determined, everyone according to his ability, to send relief to the brothers living in Judea.

So the believers in Antioch decided to send relief to the brothers and sisters in Judea, everyone giving as much as they could.

And to the extent that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

that during a severe ordeal of suffering, their abundant joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in the wealth of their generosity.For I testify, they gave according to their means and beyond their means. As they were able, they gave to the treasury for this work 61,000 drachmas of gold, 5,000 minas of silver, and 100 priestly robes.

and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught a significant number of people. Now it was in Antioch that the disciples were first called Christians.

Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for he has said,“ I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.”So we can say with confidence,“ The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

I said to them,“ To the extent possible we have bought back our fellow Jews who had been sold to the Gentiles. But now you yourselves want to sell your own countrymen, so that we can then buy them back!” They were utterly silent, and could find nothing to say.

So do not be overly concerned about what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not worry about such things.For all the nations of the world pursue these things, and your Father knows that you need them.Instead, pursue his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.“ Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is well pleased to give you the kingdom.Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide yourselves purses that do not wear out– a treasure in heaven that never decreases, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

They requested only that we remember the poor, the very thing I also was eager to do.

For it is not necessary for me to write you about this service to the saints,because I know your eagerness to help. I keep boasting to the Macedonians about this eagerness of yours, that Achaia has been ready to give since last year, and your zeal to participate has stirred up most of them.

Now the apostles and the brothers who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles too had accepted the word of God.

But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.For Macedonia and Achaia are pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.For they were pleased to do this, and indeed they are indebted to the Jerusalem saints. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual things, they are obligated also to minister to them in material things.

Send your grain overseas, for after many days you will get a return.Divide your merchandise among seven or even eight investments, for you do not know what calamity may happen on earth.

With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia:On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income and save it to the extent that God has blessed you, so that a collection will not have to be made when I come.

All who believed were together and held everything in common,and they began selling their property and possessions and distributing the proceeds to everyone, as anyone had need.

For there was no one needy among them, because those who were owners of land or houses were selling them and bringing the proceeds from the sales

It is not rude, it is not self- serving, it is not easily angered or resentful.

Show hospitality to one another without complaining.Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God.Whoever speaks, let it be with God’s words. Whoever serves, do so with the strength that God supplies, so that in everything God will be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
