The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying.For all these things are what the nations of the world eagerly seek; and your Father knows that you need these things.But seek His kingdom, and these things will be provided to you.Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.“ Sell your possessions and give to charity; make yourselves money belts that do not wear out, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near nor does a moth destroy.

They only asked us to remember the poor— the very thing I also was eager to do.

For it is superfluous for me to write to you about this ministry to the saints;for I know your willingness, of which I boast about you to the Macedonians, namely, that Achaia has been prepared since last year, and your zeal has stirred up most of them.

Now the apostles and the brothers and sisters who were throughout Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

but now, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.For they were pleased to do so, and they are indebted to them. Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, for you will find it after many days.Divide your portion to seven, or even to eight, for you do not know what misfortune may occur on the earth.

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so you are to do as well.On the first day of every week, each of you is to put aside and save as he may prosper, so that no collections need to be made when I come.

And all the believers were together and had all things in common;and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need.

For there was not a needy person among them, for all who were owners of land or houses would sell them and bring the proceeds of the sales

It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered,

Be hospitable to one another without complaint.As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the multifaceted grace of God.Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever.
