既得之、攜之安提阿、與會眾相聚者、達一年之久、訓迪多人、門徒之被稱為「基督信徒」者、自安提阿始。

立身處世、切莫貪財；若能知足、則常樂矣。天主不云乎：『我決不爾棄、有急我當濟。』然則吾人應可泰然無憂、怡然而歌曰：『有主相佑、遑恤其他？血氣之倫、其如我何？』

是故勿謀何飲何食、毋事營營汲汲；凡此皆世俗之所營。爾之有需於此、爾父庸有不知？惟先求天國、餘物自加於爾矣。二三子毋庸憂疑、已承爾父美意、以國授爾矣。當罄售所有、博施濟眾、自製不敝之囊、積無盡之藏於天、盜不得而近之、蠹不得而蝕焉。

彼等惟提一事、欲吾儕不分彼此、眷顧貧人、此亦予所樂為也。

其實關於周濟聖徒之事、應無須吾之喋喋也。蓋吾深知爾等急公好義、且予曾以此誇獎爾等於馬其頓人曰：『亞該亞於一年前已發此心。』此間人士、為爾等之熱心所激發者、亦復不少。

宗徒與猶太全境兄弟、咸聞異邦人亦已領受天主之道；

惟目前吾須先赴耶路撒冷一行、以賑濟諸聖徒。蓋馬其頓及亞該亞教友、自告奮勇、慷慨輸將、以助耶路撒冷之窮苦聖徒；其所以自告奮勇、有此豪舉者、蓋由彼視之、實屬義不容辭之事耳。夫異邦人既得與耶路撒冷人同享其靈心之事、彼其以區區物質供之、豈為過乎？

為聖徒捐貲之事、予曩所訓示加拉太諸教會者、爾亦當遵例行之。每週首日、爾等每人各按其經濟能力、提出若干、各自貯之；務使予來時、不復有臨時勸募之必要。

信者咸集、物盡歸公、各鬻其產、視人所需而供之。

不虞匱乏；蓋有田宅者、無不鬻之、

明廉知恥、尚義敦禮、於利不貪、見忤不怒、不念惡、

彼此應互盡東道之誼、慇懃款接無怨言嗇色、各按所賦才能、互相效勞、庶無負天主多方授才之美意。蓋凡百才能、皆屬天主之付託；爾當忠心耿耿，無忝所受之惠也。凡任宣講者、當講述聖道、一若為天主之舌人者；其任服務者、則當依天主所賦之才力、儘量貢獻。總之、任作何事、務求以耶穌基督之名、歸榮天主。但願天主享受光榮與德能、永世靡暨、心焉祝之。
