那时，使徒和长老并全教会定意从他们中间拣选人，差他们和保罗、巴拿巴同往安提阿去；所拣选的就是称呼巴撒巴的犹大和西拉。这两个人在弟兄中是作首领的。

神既兴起他的仆人，就先差他到你们这里来，赐福给你们，叫你们各人回转，离开罪恶。”

于是二人起了争论，甚至彼此分开。巴拿巴带着马可，坐船往塞浦路斯去；

犹太人就彼此对问说：“这人要往哪里去，叫我们找不着呢？难道他要往散住希腊中的犹太人那里去教训希腊人吗？

从这日起，耶路撒冷的教会大遭逼迫，除了使徒以外，门徒都分散在犹太和撒玛利亚各处。有虔诚的人把司提反埋葬了，为他捶胸大哭。扫罗却残害教会，进各人的家，拉着男女下在监里。那些分散的人往各处去传道。

宁可往以色列家迷失的羊那里去。

他们既被圣灵差遣，就下到西流基，从那里坐船往塞浦路斯去。

有凯撒利亚的几个门徒和我们同去，带我们到一个久为门徒的家里，叫我们与他同住；他名叫拿孙，是塞浦路斯人。

在安提阿的教会中，有几位先知和教师，就是巴拿巴和称呼尼结的西面、古利奈人路求，与分封之王希律同养的马念，并扫罗。

保罗和巴拿巴放胆说：“神的道先讲给你们原是应当的；只因你们弃绝这道，断定自己不配得永生，我们就转向外邦人去。

找着了，就带他到安提阿去。他们足有一年的工夫和教会一同聚集，教训了许多人。门徒称为“基督徒”是从安提阿起首。当那些日子，有几位先知从耶路撒冷下到安提阿。

后来，矶法到了安提阿；因他有可责之处，我就当面抵挡他。

在凯撒利亚下了船，就上耶路撒冷去问教会安，随后下安提阿去。
