神兴起了他的仆人，差派他先到你们这里来，要你们每个人转离自己的罪行，好祝福你们。”

两个人起了激烈的争执，以致彼此分手。巴拿巴带着马可，坐船到塞浦路斯岛去；

那些犹太人彼此问：“这个人要到哪里去，让我们找不到他呢？难道他要往散居在希腊人中的犹太侨民那里，去教导希腊人吗？

扫罗也赞同杀害司提反。从那一天开始，有大逼迫临到耶路撒冷的教会。除了使徒以外，他们都分散到犹太和撒马利亚地区。有些虔诚的人把司提反埋葬了，为他大大地悲伤。扫罗却摧残教会，闯进各家各户，无论男女都拉去关进监狱。于是那些分散的人就走遍各地传讲福音。

宁愿到以色列家迷失的羊那里去。

这样，他们两个人受圣灵的差遣，就下到塞琉西亚，又从那里坐船前往塞浦路斯岛，

凯撒里亚的一些门徒也陪我们一起去，带我们到一个塞浦路斯人纳森家里去作客住宿。他做门徒已经很久了。

在安提阿当地的教会中有一些做先知传道的和教师，包括巴拿巴、称为尼格尔的西蒙、古利奈人卢吉斯、与分封王希律一起长大的马纳恩，还有扫罗。

保罗和巴拿巴就放胆直言，说：“神的话语先传给你们是必须的。既然你们弃绝这道，断定自己不配得永恒的生命，看哪，我们就转向外邦人，

找到了，就带他到安提阿来。然后有整整一年，两个人与会众聚在一起，教导了一大群人。门徒们第一次被称为“基督徒”是在安提阿。在那些日子里，有几个做先知传道的从耶路撒冷下到安提阿。

不过矶法来到安提阿的时候，我曾当面抵挡他，因为他有该责备的地方。
