When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying,“ Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life!”

眾聞是語、悉皆默契而歸榮天主、曰：『由是觀之、天主普賜洪恩於異族、使由悔改而獲生命矣。』

When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying,“ So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

When they heard this, they didn’t object anymore. They praised God. They said,“ So then, God has allowed even Gentiles to turn away from their sins. He did this so that they could live.”

When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying,“ Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

When the others heard this, they stopped objecting and began praising God. They said,“ We can see that God has also given the Gentiles the privilege of repenting of their sins and receiving eternal life.”

When they heard this they became silent. And they glorified God, saying,“ So then, God has given repentance resulting in life even to the Gentiles.”

When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying,“ Well then, God has also granted to the Gentiles the repentance that leads to life.”

For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.

I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.

God exalted him with his right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and remission of sins.

which in other generations was not made known to the children of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit,that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of his promise in Christ Jesus through the Good News,of which I was made a servant according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

They, when they heard it, glorified God. They said to him,“ You see, brother, how many thousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law.

testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus.

Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called“ uncircumcision” by that which is called“ circumcision”( in the flesh, made by hands),that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of separation,having abolished in his flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace,and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility through it.He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.

“ I have surely heard Ephraim grieving thus,‘ You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf. For so has the Lord commanded us, saying,‘ I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’”As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

I will pour on David’s house, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

Don’t be deceived, my beloved brothers.Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.

When they had arrived, and had gathered the assembly together, they reported all the things that God had done with them, and that he had opened a door of faith to the nations.

So they glorified God in me.

When Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, even the heads of the thousands of Israel that were with him, heard the words that the children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the children of Manasseh spoke, it pleased them well.

and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. Let all the peoples praise him.”Again, Isaiah says,“ There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit.I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.But I write the more boldly to you in part, as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Aaron spoke to Moses,“ Behold, today they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before Yahweh; and such things as these have happened to me. If I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been pleasing in Yahweh’s sight?”When Moses heard that, it was pleasing in his sight.

delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I send you,to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’“ Therefore, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision,but declared first to them of Damascus, at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn’t follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith;

Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn’t he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also,since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.

“ He said to me,‘ Depart, for I will send you out far from here to the Gentiles.’”They listened to him until he said that; then they lifted up their voice and said,“ Rid the earth of this fellow, for he isn’t fit to live!”

For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.

They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles. They caused great joy to all the brothers.

Now the apostles and the brothers who were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
