Then I thought of the Lord’s words when he said,‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

我就想起主的话说：‘约翰是用水施洗，但你们要受圣灵的洗。’

我就想起主的话如何说：‘约翰用水施洗，但你们要在圣灵里受洗。’

我就想起主的话如何说：‘约翰用水施洗，但你们要在圣灵里受洗。’

我就想起主的话，‘约翰用水施洗，但你们要受圣灵的洗礼。’

我就想起主所说的话：‘约翰用水施洗，但你们要受圣灵的洗。’

我就想起了主如此说的话，‘约翰用水施洗，但你们将要受圣灵的洗。’

我就想起主的話說：『約翰是用水施洗，但你們要受聖靈的洗。』

我就想起主的話如何說：『約翰用水施洗，但你們要在聖靈裏受洗。』

我就想起主的話如何說：『約翰用水施洗，但你們要在聖靈裏受洗。』

我就想起主的話，『約翰用水施洗，但你們要受聖靈的洗禮。』

我就想起主所說的話：‘約翰用水施洗，但你們要受聖靈的洗。’

我就想起主的話，他怎樣說：「約翰施洗是用水的，但你們呢、卻要在聖靈裏受洗。」

我就想起了主如此說的話，『約翰用水施洗，但你們將要受聖靈的洗。』

我遂憶主言曰、約翰固以水施洗、惟爾曹將受洗於聖神焉、

我即憶主言、約翰固以水施洗、惟爾曹將受洗於聖神也、

我即憶主言曰、約翰施洗以水、惟爾曹將受洗於聖神、

予乃憶主之言曰：「如望以水施洗、而爾等將受聖神之洗焉。」

Then I remembered what the Lord had said:‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

Then I remembered the Lord’s words.‘ John baptized with water,’ he had said.‘ But you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said,‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said,‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say,‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said,‘ John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

And I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said,‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

And I remembered the word of the Lord, as he used to say,‘ John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’

I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said,‘ John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit.’

John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit!”

“ Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” he asked them.“ No,” they replied,“ we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”“ Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked. And they replied,“ The baptism of John.”Paul said,“ John’s baptism called for repentance from sin. But John himself told the people to believe in the one who would come later, meaning Jesus.”

John answered their questions by saying,“ I baptize you with water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am— so much greater that I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative— that is, the Holy Spirit— he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise.

“ I baptize with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am— so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.

For I will pour out water to quench your thirst and to irrigate your parched fields. And I will pour out my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your children.They will thrive like watered grass, like willows on a riverbank.Some will proudly claim,‘ I belong to the Lord.’ Others will say,‘ I am a descendant of Jacob.’ Some will write the Lord’s name on their hands and will take the name of Israel as their own.”

This is my second letter to you, dear friends, and in both of them I have tried to stimulate your wholesome thinking and refresh your memory.

“ Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.

Yes, I’m telling you these things now, so that when they happen, you will remember my warning. I didn’t tell you earlier because I was going to be with you for a while longer.

In that day the mountains will drip with sweet wine, and the hills will flow with milk. Water will fill the streambeds of Judah, and a fountain will burst forth from the Lord’s Temple, watering the arid valley of acacias.

“ Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols.

John told them,“ I baptize with water, but right here in the crowd is someone you do not recognize.

And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus:‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Then they remembered that he had said this.

I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me,‘ The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’

he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
