倘若你怕下去，就带你的仆人普拉下到那营里去。

仆人有信道的主人，不可因为与他是弟兄就轻看他，更要加意服侍他，因为得服侍之益处的，是信道蒙爱的。你要以此教训人，劝勉人。

在凯撒利亚有一个人，名叫哥尼流，是“意大利营”的百夫长。他是个虔诚人，他和全家都敬畏神，多多周济百姓，常常祷告神。

亚伯拉罕的仆人听见他们这话，就向耶和华俯伏在地。

因为我在人的权下，也有兵在我以下；对这个说‘去！’他就去；对那个说‘来！’他就来；对我的仆人说：‘你做这事！’他就去做。”耶稣听见就希奇，对跟从的人说：“我实在告诉你们，这么大的信心，就是在以色列中，我也没有遇见过。

亚伯拉罕年纪老迈，向来在一切事上耶和华都赐福给他。亚伯拉罕对管理他全业最老的仆人说：“请你把手放在我大腿底下。我要叫你指着耶和华天地的主起誓，不要为我儿子娶这迦南地中的女子为妻。你要往我本地本族去，为我的儿子以撒娶一个妻子。”仆人对他说：“倘若女子不肯跟我到这地方来，我必须将你的儿子带回你原出之地吗？”亚伯拉罕对他说：“你要谨慎，不要带我的儿子回那里去。耶和华天上的主曾带领我离开父家和本族的地，对我说话，向我起誓说：‘我要将这地赐给你的后裔。’他必差遣使者在你面前，你就可以从那里为我儿子娶一个妻子。倘若女子不肯跟你来，我使你起的誓就与你无干了，只是不可带我的儿子回那里去。”仆人就把手放在他主人亚伯拉罕的大腿底下，为这事向他起誓。那仆人从他主人的骆驼里取了十匹骆驼，并带些他主人各样的财物，起身往美索不达米亚去，到了拿鹤的城。

约拿单对拿兵器的少年人说：“我们不如过到未受割礼人的防营那里去，或者耶和华为我们施展能力；因为耶和华使人得胜，不在乎人多人少。”拿兵器的对他说：“随你的心意行吧。你可以上去，我必跟随你，与你同心。”
