彼得便請他們進去，款待他們。第二天彼得就起身，和他們一同出發，還有屬約帕的幾個弟兄和他一同去。

彼得對他們說：『你們要悔改，你們各人都要在上帝所膏立者耶穌名內受洗、以得罪赦，你們就可以領受聖靈、那白白的恩。

故此你們要記得、你們從前在肉身上做外國人、被那所謂割禮、在肉身上用人手行的、稱為沒受割禮；

我們這生來是猶太人、而不是屬於外國之「罪人」的，

我正開始講的時候，聖靈便降在他們身上，正像當初降在我們身上一樣。我就想起主的話，他怎樣說：「約翰施洗是用水的，但你們呢、卻要在聖靈裏受洗。」這樣，上帝既然將相同之白白的恩給了他們，像我們信服主耶穌基督的時候給了我們一樣，我是誰，能攔阻上帝麼？』眾人聽了這些話，都靜默不言，只將榮耀歸與上帝說：『這樣看來，上帝把悔改以得生命的恩也給了外國人了。』

你們從前雖由於過犯和肉身之沒受割禮而死，上帝卻叫你們和基督同活，饒恕了我們一切的過犯；擦掉了簽訂在規例中、攻擊我們、跟我們為敵的文件；從我們中間把它除去，釘在十字架上。

基督既為我們成了被咒詛的，就把我們買出來、使我們脫離了律法的咒詛；（因為經上記着說：『凡掛在木架上的都被咒詛』；這是要使亞伯拉罕所受的祝福可以在耶穌基督身上臨到外國人，使我們可以憑着信領受所應許的聖靈。

這樣，他既被高舉在上帝右邊，又從父領受了所應許的聖靈，便將這個、你們所看見所聽見的、傾注下來。

這奧祕在別的世代中沒有讓人類知道過，不像如今在靈感動中對他的聖使徒和神言傳講師啓示了這樣。這奧祕就是：外國人在基督耶穌裏、藉着福音、得以同做後嗣、同做一個身體、一同有分於應許之恩。我做了這福音的僕役，是照上帝恩典中白白的恩，按他大能之運用所施給我的。這恩典賜給了我，竟給我這比眾聖徒最小的還小的人，叫我把基督那追尋不盡之豐富傳給外國人，

『你進了沒有受割禮的人家裏，和他們一同喫飯呀！』
