Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.Many of them therefore believed; also of the prominent Greek women, and not a few men.

So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;

That which was a temptation to you in my flesh, you didn’t despise nor reject; but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

The heart of the discerning gets knowledge. The ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

that the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; that the man of understanding may attain to sound counsel:

“ Be it known therefore to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”

Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

Also the hand of God came on Judah to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by Yahweh’s word.

Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,as newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow,

Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”

As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover to an obedient ear.

Now therefore, why should we die? For this great fire will consume us. If we hear Yahweh our God’s voice any more, then we shall die.For who is there of all flesh, that has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the middle of the fire, as we have, and lived?Go near, and hear all that Yahweh our God shall say, and tell us all that Yahweh our God tells you; and we will hear it, and do it.”Yahweh heard the voice of your words when you spoke to me; and Yahweh said to me,“ I have heard the voice of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They have well said all that they have spoken.Oh that there were such a heart in them that they would fear me and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them and with their children forever!

Instruct a wise person, and he will be still wiser. Teach a righteous person, and he will increase in learning.The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.

But many will be last who are first; and first who are last.
