其人賢於帖撒羅尼迦人、以其願安受道、惟日玩索經文、果有此語否、故信之者眾、又有希利尼貴女、男子亦不少、

凡我良朋、宜速聽、宜徐言、宜懲忿、

我躬艱難、爾不藐視、不厭棄、乃接我如上帝使者、亦接我如基督耶穌、

智者心增明慧、耳聽至道。

道栽培於心、祗承以救爾魂、

故自謙如孩提、則於天國為大、

哲者聞此而增其學、明者聞此而益其慧。

爾曹當知上帝救道、施及異邦人、彼將聽之也、

毋自欺也、倘有人貌為智干斯世、則寧不智以為智、

在猶大地上帝使民一心、遵從王與群伯所傳耶和華命。○

當去諸暴戾、詭譎、偽善、媢嫉、毀謗、如孩提初生索乳、宜求真道、使爾漸長、

我誠告爾、凡承上帝國、不如孩提者、不得入也、

智者忠告而善道之、使人順受、猶金製耳環物飾。

如我仍聽我上帝耶和華之言、則此大火、必燬我身、我將死亡、爾曷為使我死亡乎。蓋天下億兆、未有聽永生上帝之聲、由火中出、如我所聞、而尚保其生者。爾盍近前、聞我上帝耶和華所言、傳之於我、我必遵行。當日爾所言耶和華聽之、諭我曰、斯民所言、我聞之矣、其言甚善、願其常存此心畏我、恆守我誡命、永能受福、爰及子孫。

訓迪智人、則其智日加、指示義人、則其學日進。畏耶和華即智慧之本、識聖理即聰明之原。

我謝上帝不置、因我傳上帝道、爾受之、非出人言、誠出上帝、力行於爾信者中、

然先者多為後、後者多為先也、
