這地方的人賢於帖撒羅尼迦的人，甘心領受這道，天天考查聖經，要曉得這道是與不是。所以他們中間多有相信的，又有希臘尊貴的婦女，男子也不少。

我親愛的弟兄們，這是你們所知道的。但你們各人要快快地聽，慢慢地說，慢慢地動怒，

你們為我身體的緣故受試煉，沒有輕看我，也沒有厭棄我，反倒接待我，如同神的使者，如同基督耶穌。

聰明人的心得知識；智慧人的耳求知識。

所以，你們要脫去一切的污穢和盈餘的邪惡，存溫柔的心領受那所栽種的道，就是能救你們靈魂的道。

所以，凡自己謙卑像這小孩子的，他在天國裏就是最大的。

使智慧人聽見，增長學問，使聰明人得着智謀，

所以你們當知道，神這救恩，如今傳給外邦人，他們也必聽受。」

人不可自欺。你們中間若有人在這世界自以為有智慧，倒不如變作愚拙，好成為有智慧的。

神也感動猶大人，使他們一心遵行王與眾首領憑耶和華之言所發的命令。

所以，你們既除去一切的惡毒、詭詐，並假善、嫉妒，和一切毀謗的話，就要愛慕那純淨的靈奶，像才生的嬰孩愛慕奶一樣，叫你們因此漸長，以致得救。

我實在告訴你們，凡要承受神國的，若不像小孩子，斷不能進去。」

智慧人的勸戒，在順從的人耳中，好像金耳環和精金的妝飾。

現在這大火將要燒滅我們，我們何必冒死呢？若再聽見耶和華－我們神的聲音就必死亡。凡屬血氣的，曾有何人聽見永生神的聲音從火中出來，像我們聽見還能存活呢？求你近前去，聽耶和華－我們神所要說的一切話，將他對你說的話都傳給我們，我們就聽從遵行。』「你們對我說的話，耶和華都聽見了。耶和華對我說：『這百姓的話，我聽見了；他們所說的都是。惟願他們存這樣的心敬畏我，常遵守我的一切誡命，使他們和他們的子孫永遠得福。

教導智慧人，他就越發有智慧；指示義人，他就增長學問。敬畏耶和華是智慧的開端；認識至聖者便是聰明。

為此，我們也不住地感謝神，因你們聽見我們所傳神的道就領受了；不以為是人的道，乃以為是神的道。這道實在是神的，並且運行在你們信主的人心中。

然而，有許多在前的，將要在後；在後的，將要在前。」
