有一天，約在申初，他在異象中明明看見神的一個使者進去，到他那裏，說：「哥尼流。」

彼得就請他們進去，住了一宿。次日，起身和他們同去，還有約帕的幾個弟兄同着他去；又次日，他們進入凱撒利亞，哥尼流已經請了他的親屬密友等候他們。

當他往上去，他們定睛望天的時候，忽然有兩個人身穿白衣，站在旁邊，說：

我說話，禱告，承認我的罪和本國之民以色列的罪，為我神的聖山，在耶和華－我神面前懇求。我正禱告的時候，先前在異象中所見的那位加百列，奉命迅速飛來，約在獻晚祭的時候，按手在我身上。

凡為以色列神言語戰兢的，都因這被擄歸回之人所犯的罪聚集到我這裏來。我就驚懼憂悶而坐，直到獻晚祭的時候。獻晚祭的時候我起來，心中愁苦，穿着撕裂的衣袍，雙膝跪下向耶和華－我的神舉手，

向他說話的天使去後，哥尼流叫了兩個家人和常伺候他的一個虔誠兵來，把這事都述說給他們聽，就打發他們往約帕去。第二天，他們行路將近那城。彼得約在午正，上房頂去禱告，

他的相貌如同閃電，衣服潔白如雪。

這月二十四日，以色列人聚集禁食，身穿麻衣，頭蒙灰塵。以色列人就與一切外邦人離絕，站着承認自己的罪惡和列祖的罪孽。那日的四分之一站在自己的地方念耶和華－他們神的律法書，又四分之一認罪，敬拜耶和華－他們的神。

那少年人對她們說：「不要驚恐！你們尋找那釘十字架的拿撒勒人耶穌，他已經復活了，不在這裏。請看安放他的地方。
