有一天，大約下午三點，他在異象中清楚地看見神的一位天使來到他面前，對他說：「哥尼流！」

正當耶穌離去，他們注目望天的時候，忽然有兩個身穿白衣的人站在他們旁邊，

我還在說話、禱告，承認我的罪和我民以色列的罪，並為我神的聖山在耶和華我的神面前呈上懇求——我還在禱告中說話的時候，先前的異象中見過的那位樣貌像人的加百列快速地飛到我這裡來；那時大約是獻晚祭的時候。

向哥尼流說話的天使離開以後，哥尼流叫來兩個家僕和常伺候他的一個敬神的士兵，向他們述說這一切以後，就派他們去約帕。第二天，當他們趕路快到約帕的時候，大約中午十二點，彼得上屋頂去禱告。

他的容貌像閃電，衣服潔白如雪。

那年輕人對她們說：「不要驚慌！你們是在尋找被釘十字架的拿撒勒人耶穌，他已經復活了，不在這裡。看，這就是他們安放他的地方。

有一次，在下午三點禱告的時候，彼得和約翰上聖殿去。

她們正為這件事心裡困惑的時候，忽然有兩個人，身穿閃閃發光的衣服，站在她們旁邊。
