有一天，大约下午三点，他在异象中清楚地看见神的一位天使来到他面前，对他说：“哥尼流！”

彼得就请他们进来，招待了他们。第二天，他起身与他们一同去，还有一些约帕的弟兄陪他一起去。又过了一天，他们进了凯撒里亚。哥尼流已经召集了他的亲属和好友，等候着他们。

正当耶稣离去，他们注目望天的时候，忽然有两个身穿白衣的人站在他们旁边，

我还在说话、祷告，承认我的罪和我民以色列的罪，并为我神的圣山在耶和华我的神面前呈上恳求——我还在祷告中说话的时候，先前的异象中见过的那位样貌像人的加百列快速地飞到我这里来；那时大约是献晚祭的时候。

向哥尼流说话的天使离开以后，哥尼流叫来两个家仆和常伺候他的一个敬神的士兵，向他们述说这一切以后，就派他们去约帕。第二天，当他们赶路快到约帕的时候，大约中午十二点，彼得上屋顶去祷告。

他的容貌像闪电，衣服洁白如雪。

那年轻人对她们说：“不要惊慌！你们是在寻找被钉十字架的拿撒勒人耶稣，他已经复活了，不在这里。看，这就是他们安放他的地方。

有一次，在下午三点祷告的时候，彼得和约翰上圣殿去。

她们正为这件事心里困惑的时候，忽然有两个人，身穿闪闪发光的衣服，站在她们旁边。
