But Peter lifted him up, saying,“ Stand up; I too am a man.”

But Peter made him get up.“ Stand up,” he said,“ I am only a man myself.”

But Peter pulled him up and said,“ Stand up! I’m a human being just like you!”

But Peter lifted him up and said,“ Stand up. I myself am also a man.”

But Peter helped him up, saying,“ Stand up; I, too, am just a man.”

Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me,“ You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of it, they tore their garments and rushed out into the crowd, crying out,“ Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men, of like nature with you, and we bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me,but he said to me,“ You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

I am the Lord; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.

Let no one deceive you in any way. and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain.

Then Jesus said to him,“ Be gone, Satan! For it is written,“‘ You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’”
