As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and He said to him,“ Follow Me!” So he got up and followed Him.While He was reclining at the table in the house, many tax collectors and sinners came as guests to eat with Jesus and His disciples.

But He would not let him; instead, He told him,“ Go back home to your own people, and report to them how much the Lord has done for you and how He has had mercy on you.”So he went out and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and they were all amazed.

Then Levi hosted a grand banquet for Him at his house. Now there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others who were guests with them.

He first found his own brother Simon and told him,“ We have found the Messiah!”( which means“ Anointed One”),and he brought Simon to Jesus. When Jesus saw him, He said,“ You are Simon, son of John. You will be called Cephas”( which means“ Rock”).The next day He decided to leave for Galilee. Jesus found Philip and told him,“ Follow Me!”Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the hometown of Andrew and Peter.Philip found Nathanael and told him,“ We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law( and so did the prophets): Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth!”“ Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Nathanael asked him.“ Come and see,” Philip answered.Then Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and said about him,“ Here is a true Israelite; no deceit is in him.”“ How do you know me?” Nathanael asked.“ Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you,” Jesus answered.“ Rabbi,” Nathanael replied,“ You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

On that day, each of you will invite his neighbor to sit under his vine and fig tree.” This is the declaration of the Lord of Hosts.

The Lord of Hosts says this:“ Peoples will yet come, the residents of many cities;the residents of one city will go to another, saying: Let’s go at once to plead for the Lord’s favor and to seek the Lord of Hosts. I am also going.Many peoples and strong nations will come to seek the Lord of Hosts in Jerusalem and to plead for the Lord’s favor.”The Lord of Hosts says this:“ In those days, 10 men from nations of every language will grab the robe of a Jewish man tightly, urging: Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.He was with God in the beginning.All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created.

Then the woman left her water jar, went into town, and told the men,“ Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could this be the Messiah?”

Philip appeared in Azotus, and he was traveling and evangelizing all the towns until he came to Caesarea.
