Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do[ it] with thy might; for[ there is] no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.

And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the LORD; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels.And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that[ were] with him.

Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring[ him] that he would not delay to come to them.

Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

Therefore came I[ unto you] without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man[ which is] with thy servants:[ there is] no want of any thing.And the old man said, Peace[ be] with thee; howsoever[ let] all thy wants[ lie] upon me; only lodge not in the street.So he brought him into his house, and gave provender unto the asses: and they washed their feet, and did eat and drink.
