便對他說：「你這蒙耶和華賜福的人，請到我家。為什麼站在外面呢？我已經為你預備好了房間，也為駱駝預備了地方。」老總管就到了拉班的家裡，拉班卸下駱駝背上的東西，給駱駝餵上草料，打水給老總管和隨行的人洗腳。

於是我立刻派人去請你。你能來，真是榮幸，現在我們都在上帝面前，想聆聽主吩咐你傳給我們的話。」

不要忘記款待客旅，因為曾經有人接待客旅時不知不覺接待了天使。

「我主啊，請到僕人家洗洗腳，住一夜，明天早上再繼續趕路吧！」他們說：「不，我們要在街上過夜。」羅得執意邀請他們，他們便答應到他家裡作客。羅得設宴款待他們，烤無酵餅給他們吃。

要互相接待，不發怨言，

呂大和約帕相距不遠，門徒聽說彼得在呂大，就派兩個人趕去請他立刻來約帕。

無論在主面前或在人面前，我們務求行事為人光明磊落。

所以，我受到邀請後，毫不猶豫地來了。請問你們為什麼請我來？」

其實我有糧草餵驢，我和我的妾及僕人也有餅和酒，什麼也不缺。」那老人說：「到我家來吧，我會供應你們的需要，千萬不可在街頭露宿。」於是，那老人帶他們回家，餵他們的驢。他們洗完腳後，便一起吃喝。
