Men[ and] brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.

And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;

For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard[ us]: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought[ us], saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide[ there]. And she constrained us.

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name[ was] Simeon; and the same man[ was] just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Good and upright[ is] the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Then hear thou from the heavens,[ even] from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as[ doth] thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

Blessed[ is] he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

And God[ is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all[ things], may abound to every good work:( As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for[ your] food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for[ your] liberal distribution unto them, and unto all[ men];And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.Thanks[ be] unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that[ were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

[ It is] good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.

Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,[ and] liftest up thy voice for understanding;If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as[ for] hid treasures;Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel:[ and] the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
