But Peter said,“ Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”

彼得却说：“主啊！这可不行！我从未吃过任何污秽不洁之物。”

彼得说：“主啊，千万不可！我从来不吃俗物和不洁的东西。”

彼得却说：“主啊，千万不可！因为我从来没有吃过任何俗物和不洁净的东西。”

彼得卻說：「主啊，這是不可的！凡俗物和不潔淨的物，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊，絕對不可！凡污俗和不潔淨的東西，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊，絕對不可！凡污俗和不潔淨的東西，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊！這可不行！我從未吃過任何污穢不潔之物。」

彼得說：“主啊，千萬不可！我從來不吃俗物和不潔的東西。”

彼得說：『主啊，千萬不可；因為各樣俗污不潔淨之物、我從來沒有喫過。』

彼得卻說：「主啊，千萬不可！因為我從來沒有吃過任何俗物和不潔淨的東西。」

曰、主、不然、俗物及不潔者、我未嘗食焉、

彼得曰、主、不可、俗物不潔、我未嘗食、

彼得曰、主歟、斷乎不可、凡俗物與不潔之物、我從未食也、

伯鐸祿曰：『主、不可、俗物不潔、我未嘗食也。』

“ Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied.“ I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

“ No, Lord! I will not!” Peter replied.“ I have never eaten anything that is not pure and‘ clean.’ ”

But Peter said,“ By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”

“ No, Lord,” Peter declared.“ I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure and unclean.”

“ No, Lord!” Peter said.“ For I have never eaten anything impure and ritually unclean.”

But Peter said,“ By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean.”

But Peter said,“ Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common and unclean.

“ No, Lord!” Peter said.“ For I have never eaten anything common and ritually unclean!”

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

But Peter said,“ Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!”

“‘ You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean fowl and the clean. You shall not make yourselves abominable by animal, or by bird, or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have separated from you as unclean for you.

Then I said,“ Ah Lord Yahweh! Behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals. No abominable meat has come into my mouth!”

Peter took him aside, and began to rebuke him, saying,“ Far be it from you, Lord! This will never be done to you.”

Not so! Go now you who are men, and serve Yahweh; for that is what you desire!” Then they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.

You are the children of Yahweh your God. You shall not cut yourselves, nor make any baldness between your eyes for the dead.For you are a holy people to Yahweh your God, and Yahweh has chosen you to be a people for his own possession, above all peoples who are on the face of the earth.You shall not eat any abominable thing.These are the animals which you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the chamois.Every animal that parts the hoof, and has the hoof split in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.Nevertheless these you shall not eat of them that chew the cud, or of those who have the hoof split: the camel, the hare, and the rabbit. It is unclean to you.Of all clean birds you may eat.But these are they of which you shall not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the osprey,the red kite, the falcon, the kite after its kind,every raven after its kind,the ostrich, the owl, the seagull, the hawk after its kind,the little owl, the great owl, the horned owl,the pelican, the vulture, the cormorant,the stork, the heron after its kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.All winged creeping things are unclean to you. They shall not be eaten.Of all clean birds you may eat.You shall not eat of anything that dies of itself. You may give it to the foreigner living among you who is within your gates, that he may eat it; or you may sell it to a foreigner; for you are a holy people to Yahweh your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.You shall surely tithe all the increase of your seed, that which comes out of the field year by year.You shall eat before Yahweh your God, in the place which he chooses to cause his name to dwell, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear Yahweh your God always.If the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it because the place which Yahweh your God shall choose to set his name there is too far from you, when Yahweh your God blesses you,then you shall turn it into money, bind up the money in your hand, and shall go to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose.You shall trade the money for whatever your soul desires: for cattle, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatever your soul asks of you. His mother answered,“ Not so; but he will be called John.”

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the king’s dainties, nor with the wine which he drank. Therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

He said,“ Who are you, Lord?” The Lord said,“ I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

He said to them,“ You yourselves know how it is an unlawful thing for a man who is a Jew to join himself or come to one of another nation, but God has shown me that I shouldn’t call any man unholy or unclean.

But the wise answered, saying,‘ What if there isn’t enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’

Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven- footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.“‘ Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part the hoof: the camel, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.The hyrax, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.The hare, because it chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, is unclean to you.The pig, because it has a split hoof, and is cloven- footed, but doesn’t chew the cud, is unclean to you.You shall not eat their meat. You shall not touch their carcasses. They are unclean to you.“‘ These you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat.All that don’t have fins and scales in the seas and rivers, all that move in the waters, and all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination to you,and you shall detest them. You shall not eat of their meat, and you shall detest their carcasses.Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters is an abomination to you.“‘ You shall detest these among the birds; they shall not be eaten because they are an abomination: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture,the red kite, any kind of black kite,any kind of raven,the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.“‘ All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you.Yet you may eat these: of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have long, jointed legs for hopping on the earth.Even of these you may eat: any kind of locust, any kind of katydid, any kind of cricket, and any kind of grasshopper.But all winged creeping things which have four feet are an abomination to you.“‘ By these you will become unclean: whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.

The priests shall not eat of anything that dies of itself, or is torn, whether it is bird or animal.

Lot said to them,“ Oh, not so, my lord.
