But Peter said,“ By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean.”

彼得说：“主啊，千万不可！我从来不吃俗物和不洁的东西。”

彼得却说：“主啊，千万不可！因为我从来没有吃过任何俗物和不洁净的东西。”

彼得卻說：「主啊，這是不可的！凡俗物和不潔淨的物，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊，絕對不可！凡污俗和不潔淨的東西，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊，絕對不可！凡污俗和不潔淨的東西，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊！這可不行！我從未吃過任何污穢不潔之物。」

彼得說：“主啊，千萬不可！我從來不吃俗物和不潔的東西。”

彼得說：『主啊，千萬不可；因為各樣俗污不潔淨之物、我從來沒有喫過。』

彼得卻說：「主啊，千萬不可！因為我從來沒有吃過任何俗物和不潔淨的東西。」

曰、主、不然、俗物及不潔者、我未嘗食焉、

彼得曰、主、不可、俗物不潔、我未嘗食、

彼得曰、主歟、斷乎不可、凡俗物與不潔之物、我從未食也、

伯鐸祿曰：『主、不可、俗物不潔、我未嘗食也。』

“ Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied.“ I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

“ No, Lord! I will not!” Peter replied.“ I have never eaten anything that is not pure and‘ clean.’ ”

But Peter said,“ By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”

“ No, Lord,” Peter declared.“ I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure and unclean.”

“ No, Lord!” Peter said.“ For I have never eaten anything impure and ritually unclean.”

But Peter said,“ Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common and unclean.

“ No, Lord!” Peter said.“ For I have never eaten anything common and ritually unclean!”

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

But Peter said,“ Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!”

But Peter said,“ Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”

You are therefore to make a distinction between the clean animal and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; and you shall not make yourselves detestable by animal or by bird, or by anything that crawls on the ground, which I have distinguished for you as unclean.

But I said,“ Oh, Lord God! Behold, I have never been defiled; for from my youth until now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by animals, nor has any unclean meat ever entered my mouth!”

And yet Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying,“ God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You!”

Not so! Go now, but only the men among you, and serve the Lord, since that is what you desire.” So they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.

“ You are sons of the Lord your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave a bald spot above your forehead for the dead.For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for His personal possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.“ You shall not eat any detestable thing.These are the animals that you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the mountain sheep.And any animal that has a divided hoof and has its hoofs split in two, and chews the cud, among the animals, that animal you may eat.However, you are not to eat these among the ones that chew the cud, or among those that have the hoof divided in two: the camel, the rabbit, and the rock hyrax, for though they chew the cud, they do not have a divided hoof; they are unclean to you.And the pig, because it has a divided hoof but does not chew the cud, it is unclean for you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, nor touch their carcasses.“ These you may eat of everything that is in the water: anything that has fins and scales you may eat,but anything that does not have fins and scales, you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.“ You may eat any clean bird.But these are the ones that you shall not eat: the eagle and the vulture and the buzzard,and the red kite, the falcon, and the kite in their kinds,and every raven in its kind,and the ostrich, the owl, the seagull, and the hawk in their kinds,the little owl, the great owl, the white owl,the pelican, the carrion vulture, the cormorant,the stork, and the heron in their kinds, and the hoopoe and the bat.And all the swarming insects with wings are unclean to you; they shall not be eaten.You may eat any clean bird.“ You shall not eat anything which dies of itself. You may give it to the stranger who is in your town, so that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a stranger; for you are a holy people to the Lord your God. You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.“ You shall certainly tithe all the produce from what you sow, which comes from the field every year.You shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God, at the place where He chooses to establish His name, the tithe of your grain, your new wine, your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and your flock, so that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.But if the distance is so great for you that you are not able to bring the tithe, since the place where the Lord your God chooses to set His name is too far away from you when the Lord your God blesses you,then you shall exchange it for money, and bind the money in your hand and go to the place which the Lord your God chooses.And you may spend the money on whatever your heart desires: on oxen, sheep, wine, other strong drink, or whatever your heart desires; and there you shall eat in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household.Also you shall not neglect the Levite who is in your town, for he has no portion or inheritance among you.“ At the end of every third year you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in that year, and you shall deposit it in your town.And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance among you, and the stranger, the orphan, and the widow who are in your town, shall come and eat and be satisfied, in order that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

And yet his mother responded and said,“ No indeed; but he shall be called John.”

But Daniel made up his mind that he would not defile himself with the king’s choice food or with the wine which he drank; so he sought permission from the commander of the officials that he might not defile himself.

And he said,“ Who are You, Lord?” And He said,“ I am Jesus whom you are persecuting,

And he said to them,“ You yourselves know that it is forbidden for a Jewish man to associate with or visit a foreigner; and yet God has shown me that I am not to call any person unholy or unclean.

However, the prudent ones answered,‘ No, there most certainly would not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the merchants and buy some for yourselves.’

The priests shall not eat any bird or animal that has died a natural death or has been torn to pieces by animals.
