But Peter said,“ By no means, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”

彼得说：“主啊，千万不可！我从来不吃俗物和不洁的东西。”

彼得却说：“主啊，千万不可！因为我从来没有吃过任何俗物和不洁净的东西。”

彼得卻說：「主啊，這是不可的！凡俗物和不潔淨的物，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊，絕對不可！凡污俗和不潔淨的東西，我從來沒有吃過。」

彼得卻說：「主啊！這可不行！我從未吃過任何污穢不潔之物。」

彼得說：“主啊，千萬不可！我從來不吃俗物和不潔的東西。”

彼得說：『主啊，千萬不可；因為各樣俗污不潔淨之物、我從來沒有喫過。』

彼得卻說：「主啊，千萬不可！因為我從來沒有吃過任何俗物和不潔淨的東西。」

曰、主、不然、俗物及不潔者、我未嘗食焉、

彼得曰、主、不可、俗物不潔、我未嘗食、

彼得曰、主歟、斷乎不可、凡俗物與不潔之物、我從未食也、

伯鐸祿曰：『主、不可、俗物不潔、我未嘗食也。』

“ Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied.“ I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”

“ No, Lord! I will not!” Peter replied.“ I have never eaten anything that is not pure and‘ clean.’ ”

“ No, Lord,” Peter declared.“ I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure and unclean.”

“ No, Lord!” Peter said.“ For I have never eaten anything impure and ritually unclean.”

But Peter said,“ By no means, Lord, for I have never eaten anything unholy and unclean.”

But Peter said,“ Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.”

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common and unclean.

“ No, Lord!” Peter said.“ For I have never eaten anything common and ritually unclean!”

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

But Peter said,“ Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!”

But Peter said,“ Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean.”

You shall therefore separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the unclean bird from the clean. You shall not make yourselves detestable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground crawls, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean.

Then I said,“ Ah, Lord God! Behold, I have never defiled myself. From my youth up till now I have never eaten what died of itself or was torn by beasts, nor has tainted meat come into my mouth.”

And Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying,“ Far be it from you, Lord! This shall never happen to you.”

No! Go, the men among you, and serve the Lord, for that is what you are asking.” And they were driven out from Pharaoh’s presence.

“ You are the sons of the Lord your God. You shall not cut yourselves or make any baldness on your foreheads for the dead.For you are a people holy to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.“ You shall not eat any abomination.These are the animals you may eat: the ox, the sheep, the goat,the deer, the gazelle, the roebuck, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the mountain sheep.Every animal that parts the hoof and has the hoof cloven in two and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.Yet of those that chew the cud or have the hoof cloven you shall not eat these: the camel, the hare, and the rock badger, because they chew the cud but do not part the hoof, are unclean for you.And the pig, because it parts the hoof but does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. Their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch.“ Of all that are in the waters you may eat these: whatever has fins and scales you may eat.And whatever does not have fins and scales you shall not eat; it is unclean for you.“ You may eat all clean birds.But these are the ones that you shall not eat: the eagle, the bearded vulture, the black vulture,the kite, the falcon of any kind;every raven of any kind;the ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, the hawk of any kind;the little owl and the short-eared owl, the barn owland the tawny owl, the carrion vulture and the cormorant,the stork, the heron of any kind; the hoopoe and the bat.And all winged insects are unclean for you; they shall not be eaten.All clean winged things you may eat.“ You shall not eat anything that has died naturally. You may give it to the sojourner who is within your towns, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a people holy to the Lord your God.“ You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.“ You shall tithe all the yield of your seed that comes from the field year by year.And before the Lord your God, in the place that he will choose, to make his name dwell there, you shall eat the tithe of your grain, of your wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and flock, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.And if the way is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, when the Lord your God blesses you, because the place is too far from you, which the Lord your God chooses, to set his name there,then you shall turn it into money and bind up the money in your hand and go to the place that the Lord your God choosesand spend the money for whatever you desire— oxen or sheep or wine or strong drink, whatever your appetite craves. And you shall eat there before the Lord your God and rejoice, you and your household.And you shall not neglect the Levite who is within your towns, for he has no portion or inheritance with you.“ At the end of every three years you shall bring out all the tithe of your produce in the same year and lay it up within your towns.And the Levite, because he has no portion or inheritance with you, and the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your towns, shall come and eat and be filled, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands that you do.

but his mother answered,“ No; he shall be called John.”

But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king’s food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself.

And he said,“ Who are you, Lord?” And he said,“ I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.

And he said to them,“ You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.

But the wise answered, saying,‘ Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them,“ Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat.Nevertheless, among those that chew the cud or part the hoof, you shall not eat these: The camel, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you.And the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you.And the hare, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you.And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you.You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you.“ These you may eat, of all that are in the waters. Everything in the waters that has fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the rivers, you may eat.But anything in the seas or the rivers that does not have fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and of the living creatures that are in the waters, is detestable to you.You shall regard them as detestable; you shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.Everything in the waters that does not have fins and scales is detestable to you.“ And these you shall detest among the birds; they shall not be eaten; they are detestable: the eagle, the bearded vulture, the black vulture,the kite, the falcon of any kind,every raven of any kind,the ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, the hawk of any kind,the little owl, the cormorant, the short-eared owl,the barn owl, the tawny owl, the carrion vulture,the stork, the heron of any kind, the hoopoe, and the bat.“ All winged insects that go on all fours are detestable to you.Yet among the winged insects that go on all fours you may eat those that have jointed legs above their feet, with which to hop on the ground.Of them you may eat: the locust of any kind, the bald locust of any kind, the cricket of any kind, and the grasshopper of any kind.But all other winged insects that have four feet are detestable to you.“ And by these you shall become unclean. Whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening,and whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.

The priests shall not eat of anything, whether bird or beast, that has died of itself or is torn by wild animals.

And Lot said to them,“ Oh, no, my lords.
