爾其往勸萬民、服膺聖教、因父及子及聖神之名、為之行洗。

天主沐以聖神、充以神力、足跡所至仁澤是施、脫人於魔、而賜以康復。以天主恆與之偕也。凡彼在猶太國及耶路撒冷之所行、吾人實為之證；而人竟懸之於木而殺之。第三日天主甦之、且使其顯現、不在廣眾之前、惟於天主所預定之見證、即其復活後飲食與共之吾曹是已。

於是乃囑之曰：『爾曹當徧歷寰宇、宣福音於普天生靈。

宗徒復藉神力證主耶穌之復活、而眾亦廣沐洪恩、

惟假吾之手而已。或以言語、或以行為、或以聖蹟、異能、何一非聖神之妙工乎？吾傳基督福音、足跡已遍耶路撒冷及其周圍之地、直達伊利利亞。

五旬節屆、同人咸集、坐於一室、忽有聲來自天上、若大風之驟至、充乎全室；復見火光𦧡𦧡如舌、分降人頂；眾遂飽受聖神、各依聖神所賦、而道異國方言。

復曰：『依諸經所載、基督固當受難、第三日自死者中復活、俾痛悔赦罪之道、得藉其名而傳於世、始自耶路撒冷以達萬邦。爾曹乃諸事之見證也。識之哉！予將以吾父所許者、遣發於爾矣。惟爾曹宜暫留京中、靜候自天賦與之德能。』

吾儕均可為之作證。』

司諦文蒙主厚寵、窮神知化、廣行奇蹟靈異於民間。

然則若輩豈未之聞乎？固已聞之矣。詩云：『佳音傳大地、聖道遍八荒。』尚得謂之未聞乎？

識之哉！予已授爾以權能、俾爾蹂踐蛇蝎、降伏邪魔、所向莫之能害。

爾等素從予遊、亦當為予作證也。

斐理伯抵沙瑪里、宣揚基督。眾聞其道、復睹其所行靈蹟、翕然慕之。中多為邪魔所困者、斐理伯祛之、其魔乃大呼而出、癱跛者亦皆獲康復、於是舉邑騰歡。有巫名西門者、行邪道於城中。誇妄自尊、邑民皆為其熒惑、無長無幼、莫不尊之、曰：『斯人即所謂天主之大能者歟！』眾之所以嚮往至此者、蓋受其巫術之眩惑也久矣。及斐理伯傳主福音、揚名基督、男女誠服、西門常睹斐理伯靈蹟、為之驚異不置、乃亦不能不信服而受洗焉。耶路撒冷宗徒聞沙瑪里民眾領受天主大道、遣伯鐸祿若望二人前往祈禱、俾感聖神。時若輩尚未有一人感受聖神、僅奉耶穌之名受洗而已。宗徒乃以手按之、於是聖神降臨而普獲靈感。西門既睹其事、獻金以求曰：『請賜權能、俾我亦能按手於人、使受聖神。』伯鐸祿曰：『願爾與金偕亡！爾思以金錢易取天主之恩賜乎？在天主前、爾心不正、實無與於斯道、故當痛悔、虔求天主、一念之錯或可望赦。吾見爾正處於荼毒之中、為罪惡重加束縛。』西門曰：『願為我祈主、使爾所言者勿加諸吾身。』宗徒既證主道而闡揚之、乃返耶路撒冷、道經沙瑪里諸村、隨在宣揚福音。

且此天國嘉音、先須徧傳天下、為萬民證、然後終局乃至。

蓋如望所用以施洗者水耳、而爾等不日將受聖神之洗矣。』

天主之復活耶穌、吾儕實為見證。

凡自加利利隨赴耶路撒冷者、見之多日今為其證於人。

汝當據所見所聞、向普天生靈為之作證也。

是在爾等篤守信德、確乎不拔、以保因聞福音而得之希望而已。此福音已布於普天生靈、而我葆樂竟得供役於斯。

爾曹殘殺生命之主、而天主則已使之起死回生吾儕實為其證。

自此耶路撒冷教會受迫益甚；宗徒而外、盡散處猶太沙瑪里各地。

天神對曰：『聖神臨汝、至尊之德庇汝、因是所生聖者、應稱天主子。

必使謙謙君子。飲和飽德。懷主之徒。絃歌不絕。心靈日健。永生不滅。

即自如望施洗、至其昇天之日、與我同處之人中、遴選一人、共為耶穌復活之見證。』

救恩被邇遐。舉世所目擊。

二人固留曰：『時已向晚、日將西沉、爰請偕我宿也。』

吾當遣派二證者、披麻而預言、凡一千二百又六十日。」二證者即宇宙主宰前之二株忠菓樹及雙燈也。如有欲害之者、彼二者必噴火滅敵；欲害之者適以自取其死耳。二證者受有大權、能閉塞穹蒼、傳道期中使勿雨；且能令水變血、從心所欲、降災於地、以施懲罰。
