“ When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.

Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.

But he said this about the Spirit, which those believing in him were to receive. For the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus wasn’t yet glorified.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, about righteousness, and about judgment;about sin, because they don’t believe in me;about righteousness, because I am going to my Father, and you won’t see me any more;about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged.“ I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you.All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.You heard how I told you,‘ I go away, and I come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I said‘ I am going to my Father;’ for the Father is greater than I.

for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”

When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them,“ Receive the Holy Spirit!

For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen before by God, to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

While they still didn’t believe for joy, and wondered, he said to them,“ Do you have anything here to eat?”They gave him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.He took them, and ate in front of them.
