但那幫助者、我從父那裏所要差來找你們的、真理之靈、從父而出的，那一位來的時候、就要為我作見證了。

這樣，他既被高舉在上帝右邊，又從父領受了所應許的聖靈，便將這個、你們所看見所聽見的、傾注下來。

但這句話耶穌是指着聖靈說的，就是信他的人將要領受的；那時聖靈還沒有來，因為耶穌還沒有得榮耀。

然而我將真情告訴你們：我去、是於你們有益的。我若不去，那幫助者就決不會來找你們；我若去，就要差他來找你們。那一位來了，就要指着罪、指着義、指着審判、叫世人自知有罪。指着罪呢、是因為他們不信我；指着義呢、是因為我往父那裏去，而你們必不再見我；指着審判呢、是因為這世界的執政者已經受了審判。『我還有許多事要告訴你們，你們現在卻擔受不了。只等那一位真理之靈來了，他就要引導你們進入一切的真理：因為他不是憑着自己來說話，他乃是要把所聽見的都說出來，並且要把將來的事都傳告你們。那一位必榮耀我，因為他必從我領受，而傳告你們。凡父所有的都是我的：故此我說、他從我領受，就要傳告你們。

但那幫助者、聖靈、父因我的名所要差的、那一位必將一切事指教你們，也必叫你們想起我所對你們說的一切話。『我將平安留下給你們；我的平安、我給你們；我給你們、不像世人那樣給。你們心裏別震盪不安了，別膽怯了。你們聽見我對你們說：我去，還要來找你們。你們若愛我，就必因我往父那裏去而歡喜，因為父比我大。

因為就在那時候、聖靈自會指教你們所應當說的話。』

說了這話，就向他們吹一口氣，說：『你們受聖靈！

因為說話的不是你們，乃是那在你們裏面說話的父的靈。

這樣，你們雖然不好，尚且曉得把好贈品給你們的兒女，何況天上的父、豈不更要將聖靈給求他的人麼？』

不是顯於眾民，乃是顯於上帝所先選派的見證人，顯於我們這些在他從死人中復起以後和他同喫同喝的人。

他們正因歡喜的緣故還不敢相信，只顧希奇，耶穌就對他們說：『你們這裏有甚麼喫的沒有？』他們遞給他一分烤魚。他拿着，就在他們面前喫了。
