And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all[ men], shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

众人就祷告说：“主啊，你知道万人的心，求你从这两个人中，指明你所拣选的是谁，叫他得这使徒的位分。这位分犹大已经丢弃，往自己的地方去了。”

众人祷告说：“主啊，你知道万人的心，求你从这两个人中指明你所拣选的是哪一位，

大家便祷告说：“主啊！你洞悉人的内心，求你指明这两个人中你要拣选哪一个来担负使徒的职分。犹大丢弃了这职分，去了他该去的地方。”

他们就祷告说：“主啊，你洞察每个人的心。求你从这两个人中，指明你所拣选的是哪一位，

眾人就禱告說：「主啊，你知道萬人的心，求你從這兩個人中，指明你所揀選的是誰，叫他得這使徒的位分。這位分猶大已經丟棄，往自己的地方去了。」

就禱告說：『主啊，你是知道萬人之心的，求你從這兩人中、指明你所揀選的那位，

他們就禱告說：「主啊，你洞察每個人的心。求你從這兩個人中，指明你所揀選的是哪一位，

乃祈曰、識眾心之主歟、於此二人、示爾所選者為誰、

眾祈曰、主識眾心、請擇於斯二者、示孰為可、

眾祈禱曰、主識眾心、求示於此二人中、孰為爾所選、

禱曰：『主、爾洞悉眾心、請示二人中孰為爾選、

Then they prayed,“ Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for[ the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

I the LORD search the heart,[ I] try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways,[ and] according to the fruit of his doings.

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as[ he did] unto us;

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what[ is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to[ the will of] God.

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid[ their] hands on them.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon,[ son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all[ men],And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.And when it was day, he called[ unto him] his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous,[ and] seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.

But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things[ are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest;( for thou,[ even] thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men;)

Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Hell and destruction[ are] before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?

I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid[ their] hands on them, they sent[ them] away.

Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
