后来有一次向五百多位弟兄姊妹显现，其中有许多至今依然健在，也有些已经安息了；

求你饶恕我的罪过，除去我一切的罪恶。上帝啊，求你为我造一颗纯洁的心，使我里面重新有正直的灵。不要丢弃我，使我离开你，也不要从我身上收回你的圣灵。求你让我重新享受蒙你拯救的喜乐，赐我一颗乐意顺服你的心灵。这样，我就能把你的法则教导罪人，使他们归向你。

我向你承认自己的罪，不再隐瞒自己的恶。我说：“我要向耶和华认罪。”你就赦免了我。（细拉）因此，趁着还能寻求你的时候，凡敬虔的人都当向你祷告；洪水泛滥时，就没有机会了。

就在那一刻，发生了强烈的地震，那座城的十分之一倒塌了，因地震死亡的共七千人，生还者都在恐惧中将荣耀归给天上的上帝。

吃过早餐，耶稣对西门·彼得说：“约翰的儿子西门，你比这些人更爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊！是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣对他说：“你要喂养我的小羊。”耶稣第二次问：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得说：“主啊！是的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你要牧养我的羊。”耶稣第三次问：“约翰的儿子西门，你爱我吗？”彼得因为耶稣一连三次这样问他，就难过起来，于是对耶稣说：“主啊！你是无所不知的，你知道我爱你。”耶稣说：“你要喂养我的羊。

大家听了，都同声赞美上帝，又对保罗说：“弟兄，你知道数以万计的犹太人信了主，他们都严守律法。

但我已经为你祷告了，叫你不至于失去信心。你回头以后，要让你的弟兄刚强。”

不过在撒狄，你还有几个人未曾玷污自己的衣服，他们要穿白袍与我同行，因为他们配得这样。

我实实在在地告诉你们，我所做的事，信我的人也要做，而且要做更大的事，因为我要回到父那里。

于是在信徒中间就传说那个门徒不会死。其实耶稣并没有说他不会死，只是说：“如果我要他活到我再来，与你有什么关系？”

耶稣又给他们讲了一个比喻：“天国就像一粒芥菜种，人把它种在田里。
