So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said:“ Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them,who by the mouth of Your servant David have said:‘ Why did the nations rage, And the people plot vain things?The kings of the earth took their stand, And the rulers were gathered together against the Lord and against His Christ.’“ For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered togetherto do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done.Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

But all His acquaintances, and the women who followed Him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities— Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.

Now when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him.

And the women who had come with Him from Galilee followed after, and they observed the tomb and how His body was laid.

And many women who followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him, were there looking on from afar,

Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?”

Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother,“ Woman, behold your son!”
