因为时候要到，人必厌烦纯正的道理，耳朵发痒，就随从自己的情欲，增添好些师傅，

因为时候将到，那时人会厌烦健全的教导，耳朵发痒，就随心所欲地增添好些教师，

因为时候将到，那时人会厌烦健全的教导，耳朵发痒，就随心所欲地增添好些教师，

因为有一天，人们会厌倦纯正的教导，耳朵发痒，寻找许多迎合他们私欲的老师。

因为时候快要到了，人必容不下纯正的道理，反而耳朵发痒，随着自己的私欲，增添许多教师，

因为时候将到，人们容忍不了健全的教义，反要顺着自己的欲望，为自己的耳朵能被呵痒得舒服，去召聚许多教师。

因為時候要到，人必厭煩純正的道理，耳朵發癢，就隨從自己的情慾增添好些師傅，

因為時候將到，那時人會厭煩健全的教導，耳朵發癢，就隨心所欲地增添好些教師，

因為時候將到，那時人會厭煩健全的教導，耳朵發癢，就隨心所欲地增添好些教師，

因為有一天，人們會厭倦純正的教導，耳朵發癢，尋找許多迎合他們私慾的老師。

因為時候快要到了，人必容不下純正的道理，反而耳朵發癢，隨著自己的私慾，增添許多教師，

因為時候必到，人必不容忍健全的教義，反而耳朵發癢，順着自己的私慾給自己堆積許多教師來，

因為時候將到，人們容忍不了健全的教義，反要順著自己的欲望，為自己的耳朵能被呵癢得舒服，去召聚許多教師。

蓋時至、人將不容正教、因其耳癢而徇己慾、多集厥師、

蓋其後、人必厭聞正道之教、喜聽悅耳之談、狥嗜欲、多其師、

蓋後必有人厭聞正道之教、喜聽悅耳之言、狥私慾而多增其師、

蓋時有必至、將見正道不容於世矣。滔滔者將徇其私意、好新務異各師其師；

For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

The time will come when people won’t put up with true teaching. Instead, they will try to satisfy their own desires. They will gather a large number of teachers around them. The teachers will say what the people want to hear.

For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.

For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear what they want to hear.

For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires,

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts;

For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, will multiply teachers for themselves because they have an itch to hear something new.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

For there will be a time when people will not tolerate sound teaching. Instead, following their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves, because they have an insatiable curiosity to hear new things.

But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.Many will follow their immoral ways, and as a result, the way of the truth will be maligned.In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn’t linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

But know this: that in the last days, grievous times will come.For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self- control, fierce, not lovers of good,traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power. Turn away from these, also.For some of these are people who creep into houses and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

But the Spirit says expressly that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons,through the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, branded in their own conscience as with a hot iron,forbidding marriage and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave- traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine,

This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”

So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

Yahweh says,“ Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths,‘ Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said,‘ We will not walk in it.’I set watchmen over you, saying,‘ Listen to the sound of the trumpet!’ But they said,‘ We will not listen!’

Yahweh of Armies says,“ Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They teach you vanity. They speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of Yahweh.They say continually to those who despise me,‘ Yahweh has said,“ You will have peace;”’ and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart they say,‘ No evil will come on you.’

The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will you do in the end of it?

If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood lies:“ I will prophesy to you of wine and of strong drink;” he would be the prophet of this people.

When I came to you, brothers, I didn’t come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.

Then Elijah said to the people,“ I, even I only, am left as a prophet of Yahweh; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred fifty men.

to whom he said,“ This is the resting place. Give rest to weary,” and“ This is the refreshing;” yet they would not hear.

The Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest; and he stood above the people, and said to them,“ God says,‘ Why do you disobey Yahweh’s commandments, so that you can’t prosper? Because you have forsaken Yahweh, he has also forsaken you.’”They conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of Yahweh’s house.Thus Joash the king didn’t remember the kindness which Jehoiada his father had done to him, but killed his son. When he died, he said,“ May Yahweh look at it, and repay it.”

Now all the Athenians and the strangers living there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell or to hear some new thing.

Woe, when men speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.

My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

Therefore Yahweh’s anger burned against Amaziah, and he sent to him a prophet, who said to him,“ Why have you sought after the gods of the people, which have not delivered their own people out of your hand?”As he talked with him, the king said to him,“ Have we made you one of the king’s counselors? Stop! Why should you be struck down?” Then the prophet stopped, and said,“ I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this, and have not listened to my counsel.”

The land mourns and languishes. Lebanon is confounded and withers away. Sharon is like a desert, and Bashan and Carmel are stripped bare.“ Now I will arise,” says Yahweh.“ Now I will lift myself up. Now I will be exalted.You will conceive chaff. You will give birth to stubble. Your breath is a fire that will devour you.

But because I tell the truth, you don’t believe me.

The chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on him that very hour, but they feared the people— for they knew he had spoken this parable against them.

But as for you, don’t listen to your prophets, to your diviners, to your dreams, to your soothsayers, or to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying,“ You shall not serve the king of Babylon;”

For Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel says:“ Don’t let your prophets who are among you and your diviners deceive you. Don’t listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.

Then they said,“ Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”

Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel,“ Please inquire first for Yahweh’s word.”Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them,“ Shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?” They said,“ Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.”

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said,“ Don’t let the king say so.”

Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying,“ Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.For Amos says,‘ Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”Amaziah also said to Amos,“ You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:but don’t prophesy again any more at Bethel; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house!”Then Amos answered Amaziah,“ I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;and Yahweh took me from following the flock, and Yahweh said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’Now therefore listen to Yahweh’s word:‘ You say, Don’t prophesy against Israel, and don’t preach against the house of Isaac.’Therefore Yahweh says:‘ Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Whoever has sinned against me, I will blot him out of my book.

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ Didn’t I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”

For Yahweh’s eyes run back and forth throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. You have done foolishly in this; for from now on you will have wars.”Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in the prison; for he was in a rage with him because of this thing. Asa oppressed some of the people at the same time.
